Anyone had to do Finless SEV2 tail hub mod on the Pro tail hub?

I have brand new Pro tail grips and they are sloppy. Is the mod the same for the pro?

I just realized maybe some do not know what the Finless mod is.

He shows you how to elimnate the sloppy tail blade grips by every so slightly grinding down the posts on the hub. It is not needed on all he said but some including his had the posts to long. This does not allow the bolt to snug up all the bearings together. Hence the slop.

The thing is I have never had the Align SEV2 tail grips so I am not sure if the bearings and hub is the same as it is in the pro.

fwiw..

No offense to the Fin Man, but I've never found this much of an issue....I suspicion the Finless/Fireup Tail weight mod may be of more help if needed...

fwiw..

Chinese weight won't...The slop takes care of itself when the t/r spools up....The Align t/r grips with the Chinese mod machined in apparently do not remove as much centering force as they might...I'll find out more later this year when I build one...

I thought about doing this mod to my Pro, but I never bothered with it. Like mentioned, when you spool up, the grips will be held outward by the strong centrifugal force.

I'm sure you could take a little off the hub and get it a little tigher if you'd like, but my tail has always held perfect.

I did do the trailing edge tail blade grip switch. It does allow more tail rotor travel in the direction to counter the torque. Also at 50% travel (center rudder stick) it applies right tail pedal instead of the left pedal if you use them stock.
