Here's a video of someone doing 3d with a Trex500. Way at the end of the video he does an auto:

Yes the 500 will auto. I never autoed mine though. Because of the esc once you hit throttle hold be prepared to come all the way down. From what I have seen there is no bail out because of the esc. Chuck

Not sure what is meant by that. Unless you have a normal start (which most don't have) the slow or super slow starts set on ESCs would never be quick enough to bail.

Yes, the 500 autos just fine. It certainly doesn't float down! Like it was said previously, you have to come down fast, more negative is required. Practice in the grass for a while until you figure it out.

Life is tough, it's tougher if you're stupid

Yes that is what I meant about being soft start. Sorry for the confusion. Chuck

The T500 is capable doing auto, but keep in mind you only have one shot to do it. The video that don posted is my friend david and you can see him more doing auto on his site at http://www.dgalheli.com . We were testing the T500 back then how long it would auto in the air which is not very much.

I've done a few inverted autos with a 500. Need a little wind to help.

To hover is divine, the alternative is rather PLANE.

Just about all 6 channel helies will with a little practice on flight simulator. The trex 500 will autrotat and the best way is to get in a large feild with nothing in your way. It's allways good to check the C.G. on the little heli. brian caldwell heli man
