Hey guys,

I noticed that the stock blade cp TX has a plug on the right side for charging. Do any of you guys use a rechargeable battery in your blade cp pro TX? If so, what battery & how do you charge it?.

Thanks,
akaleus

Yep, back in the day when I flying a Blade CP wih the stock radio I used "AA" engergizer rechargable NmH batteries and used an older Hitec overnight TX charger. VERY IMPORTANT --> I had to reverse the pos. and neg. wires coming out of the charger so the polarity would be correct going in, if its wrong you could ruin your TX.

That's a good idea. I use energizer recharge-ables at the moment but I don't get very much time out of them... only about 2 or 3 flights and the batteries are shot. I have a 15 minute charger but it only holds 4 batteries. It'd be a lot easier to just plug something into the TX and charge all the batteries at once.

I wonder if I could take the stock Blade CP Pro Lipo charger and plug that into the port on the side of the TX?

You say you had to reverse the pos. & neg. wires coming out of the charger... how would I know if that's something I need to do?

Thanks so much.

If you look at the back of the TX near where the charger port is you will see molded into the plastic a diagram, something like this
- -----@--+ which means the center of the port is negative and the outside is positive. On the charger it has the same diagram but the pos. and neg. are opposite.I used to get at least 20 flights before recharging.

I may be exaggerating, but it felt like it was only 2 or 3 flights!

Thanks a lot for the info... so basically I'd have to switch around the cables on the charger...

Thanks a lot for the info.

Do you know if anyone sells a battery & charger that already has the pos. and neg. in the correct places and would work with the TX?
