You really don't have to worry about the servos outrage have been
testing them since ircha the only question is how long any servo
will last if you are a everyday flyer.

I just say these myself this fixes the hole step down problem, only thing now is making all electronics like gyro/receiver run of 7.4 volts!

think the spartin is 12 volt capible i use the 7100 spartin and 8900 tail servo so dont really need a tail servo that will run at high voltage. but the speed dose look impressive think il try the align 650 first though at half the price it a no brainer

I am not sure if I get what the point is with the Outrage servos? The specs are not that exciting. Why spend $139 for the Outrage Torq BL9080 that’s $417 for three or just get the 3Pack of JR 8717’s for $349 and they have twice the performance at just 6volts and they have a proven track record with a three year warranty.

Or the new JR 8917HV servo yea they are $149 each (only $10 more than the new Outrage servo) but the performance is outrageous at 220 oz-in 06 sec°at 7.4V that blows the Outrage servos out of the water by leaps and bounds

So what is the point to the Outrage servos then? The price is high and the performance is not earth shattering? Am I missing something here?

The 9080 does not have the specs I was expecting when I first heard of these, seems a little low in the kg's.

I expected them to be cheaper than the 8717 but with similar specs with the added bonus of HV. Then you could compare the price to the HV8717.

They deffinitely appear over priced as they have a lesser spec than than the 8717 but similar price.

Yea I am not sure what they are thinking with the price, its just nuts if you ask me. I will stick with the JR's or the Align's yea the Aligns are cheep but they work very good. I cant see an established need for mediocre performance servos that are new to the market with so so specs and no three warranty like JR's. Not to mention JR's legendary service its the best in the business.

your leaving out the fact that it's brushless with Titanium helical gears. Also, not only will it work with 2s, IT WAS MADE FOR IT!

.05 sec is mediocre?

Flying $uck$...All of the money out of my bank account!

Servos..
You cannot fairly compare the Torq Servos to the 8717's...

or even the 8917's...

Everyone seems to overlook the fact that the Torq's are BRUSHLESS and HIGH VOLTAGE with Titanium gears (Helical)

so technically you would have to compare them to the BLS series of Futaba's

I agree that the Futaba's have a proven track record indeed...but for the cost the Torq's are another good option.

While the Torque of the Torq's may be a bit lower than the 8717's I think the speed is still much faster than the 8717's...and really...in a CCPM setup do we need all that torque?

I'd rather give up torque for speed...(3 servos at 132oz is still plenty of torque for most any heli)

BTW,....the Tail servo you guys are talking about SMOKES the Bls251 spec wise...this servo puts out 90oz at 8.4 volts...even at 6 volts it's faster and has more torque than the BLS 251.

The Cyclic servos creat 132 oz of torque at 8.4 volts with a speed of .05

I think this is plenty impressive

Just my .02$

Torq Servos
I have seen these servos in action quite a few times ...so I have been very impressed with their performance...but as with every new product it takes time to make a name for the product.

I don't expect many people will be impressed until they see them in action.

if you watch all the Eric Brandenburg Outrage velocity videos you might be impressed with the servos

he's been flying them for a while now...of course he is a master 3d pilot as well so a lot of what you see is attributed to his skills as well..

Just curious, you buy servos for looks not performance (however measured)?

I think a lot of people buy stuff for the looks :)
But I don't think Helidevil meant for you to take what he said literally Duke666

I think he meant that they looked like they worked very well(performance wise)...better than the 8717's

I am curious to see what kind of warranty these will carry...as that will be VERY important ...as everyone knows...JR has KILLER warranty and customer service....and that level of service makes people VERY loyal to JR

Me included
