Asking the same question of the same group of people multiple times will change the opinions of the group?

Haha you kidder you.

If those threads were cheese the most recent 5 would still be good.

Leaving that one open for someone else to take.

Electrics make good power for the first 3-4 mins then your finished while nitro keeps the same amount of power through the whole 7-8 min flight with no power loss.IMO this is what it comes down to,if your on a budget or dont have alot of $$ and want to fly alot then go nitro. If you have the money to buy all the lipos/chargers to fit your flight times then go electric. There both good but it depends on how much you want to fly and how much money you have to spend.Lipos puff and motors blow, pipes crack sometimes during a crash and lipos get damaged during a crash.

Aside from the hype, the bias and the inherent physical pros and cons of each, it really depends on your circumstances.

I honestly feel like I need both. If I've got a full day and a place to fly where I won't get chased off by the cops, I'll fly everything but lately I want to fly my nitro 90 most. It allows me to fly tank after tank after tank for hours on end. Usually, I've got about one hour to fly some place close where nitro isn't practical. For that, electrics are the only option.

There are tradeoffs no matter which route you take. Either way don't let yourself get sucked into somebody else's value debate. That's a mind numbing sh!tstorm of futility. Just pick something and go fly.

Peace out!

If people at the flying field had the "Use the search cause we already had this discussion",stick up the you know what attitude, then where would we be ? If you don't want to give someone a answer then why post at all ? Just go read something else on the forum that you've never read.

that is so true with most of the heli guys , but over on the runway plankers seem to get everything they need without the hecklers. I have been spending lots of time flying my big gas planes lately and noticed a different attitude.

But electric is more environmentally friendly. More "green" if you will. ??????

I dunno. Your power comes from burning methanol+nitromethane at the field or coal at the power plant. Who knows which one is "greener"?

Ask your doctor if your heart is healthy enough for Radio Control Helicoptering.

We should all crush our cars and walk or ride bikes everywhere, maybe get a horse and buggy like the old days, cut grass with a push lawn mower, close down all power plants and use candles.
