Hi, ive just upgraded to a elyQ Vision 50, i thought i would give it a try. Ive flown for a while, and although ive allways looked after and kept my heli's clean, ive still to this day not built one up from kit or half kit ETC, ive stripped parts of my raptor down if ive ever needed to and im not scared of doing so, its just ive never had to.

So... Ive purchased this 2nd hand vision 50, and its arrived partly deconstructed which i knew was going to be the case.

Ive built it up all fine, but i then had this after thought of if i should of maybe cleaned the mainshaft and maybe putting some fresh oil on it, and anything else i "should" of checked before i built it back up.

Ive basically had to put the tail on the boom, the boom into the main frame of the heli and its belt, the head assembly in and the main gear, main blades and thats about it.

As i couldnt find much in the instructions about the belt tension i did it similer to my raptor?

Any advise is welcome, dont mind stripping it back down again.

Also ive read somthing that i presume is related to my heli about tail blade problems? but i didnt know if this was with the ultimate or the competition.

Thanks
Andy

Set the belt tension the same as your Raptor, it's the same design.

Clean and oil the tail output shaft.

Replace the tail fork with a metal one, they are known to fail. That is the 'known' problem with the tail on the Ultimate's.

Other than that the only two other problems I've had with my Vision 50 Ultimate is a broken clutch so check the clutch gap and reline the bell if the gap is too big. The other problem I've had is with the one-way locking up all the time. still chasing that one down though replacing the one-way with an old Raptor one did help, still drags on auto's.
