Im going to installing a MD500e fuse on my radikal this week. And i was wondering what blade setup would provide the best auto's. The 5 blade head looks cooler, but could the 4 blade head be better for autos? Also what blade lenght should i start with on a 22+ pound bird?

there will be more inertia from a five bladed system than a four.
use the length blades that reach the tailrotor arc but no further.

drive a rotary, fly a rotorcraft

20cc Zenoah ei, Installed 2 710mm rotor techs on it this weekend and it seems any bigger than that might be to big for the gearing 6.46. However the heli did auto very well with the 710. Just not sure if 5 600m blades might be the way to go with that heli? Had to run the needles alittle richer for the bigger blades. The engine was running 215 deg.
