I am new to electrics and have a 600 for stock 6S setup and I am trying to decide which battery to get.
I am undecided between:

ZIPPY Flightmax 4500mAh 6S1P 30C
ZIPPY Flightmax 5000mAh 6S1P 30C
Turnigy 5000mAh 6S 35C
Turnigy 4500mAh 6S 30C

Just wandering if any had experience with these batteries, and what would be recomended. I dont know if the 4500 are big enough, or do they offer an obvious weight advantage.

I would stick with the 6s 5000's. Both the Turnigy or Zippys will be great with the 600E.

I've ran my old 600E 6s on F.P. and T.P. 5000's. I've ran the Turnigys and zippy 5000's on my other birds with great results.

I don't crash... I land with style

6s 5000mah
I would recommend the 5000mah for CG reasons ...

Thanks Jag72, that was my other question in mind, CG

The batteries mentioned above are around 780-812 grams. I LIKE a heli with a neutral or slight Fwd CG.

Would a 780g batt be enough for a neutral CG?

I used to get 5 mins from initial spool up to T/H for mixed flying.
That was on TP 5000'S. from memory 4000-4200 input.
Mixed flying for me was hover practice/backwards-circuits/tic-tocs-rainbows etc, around equal time on all!!
Stock 600e with TT and z30 motor.

Probably not without ballast. My 8S has a neutral CG with 2-400gram flight batteries and a 100 gram RX battery, and a Fusuno canopy that is about 2 ounces heavier than a stock canopy. I also don't use the horizontal fin to reduce tail weight a little. Total RTF weight is just under 8lbs.

This is all very good information, leading me to pick the larger battery for all the right reasons.

I am getting exited about this heli, flown the Knight 50 once and loved it, I imagine the 600e will be even more impressive.

Major heat wave here today got close to freezing , so I got in my first flight of the new year today. Hope you enjoy your 600E as much as I do mine! AWESOME machine IMHO.
