I was peeking on HeliWholesaler's (Align Distributer) website and noticed that they have the 3G listed for the 700, 600 and 500.

Yes, the kits are complete units to convert you 500, 600 and 700 over including links, servo arms, swash driver, complete head block with grips as well as the FBL unit itself. The difference in the kits is the head.

I am anxious to try one out.

It's a complex, costly, glow powered anti-gravity machine!

1. Someone invents something that is a success
2. Some other company "brings it to the masses"
3. Chinese start to clone it.

Then it starts over

A flybarless head is pretty basic, a flybar setup is mechanically more impressive.

Actually the "Horrizon" was produced in the early to mid 80's and was flybarless, no electronic mixing.
