With Mixing in a VBar or simular FBL solution it matters less since Radios shortfall in eCCPM mixing doesnt matter anymore.
Yes that is true the 9c is still a very slow radio. You should sell it on ebay and if you don't want to spend much more buy a dx7 standard edition that radio is 100x what the pos 9c is. I would rather fly an early 90s JR than a 9c.

Why buy a DX7se (11ms) when you can get much more comprehensive programing and more channels (8+2) and faster responce time in the 8fg (7ms)????
I wouldn't buy the Futaba radio if it had a 2ms frame rate because I do not like being getting ripped off by Great Planes on repairs. Besides, both the V-bar and the new CY total-G appear to have chosen JR/Spektrum technology.

Okay...question...the Vbar site says it it compatible with Spektrum and Futaba satellites. Far as I've researched, Futaba does not have satellites, at least at this time. I'm not so much interested in satellites for the weight savings, etc., but mostly to simplify and reduce the wiring clutter. The 8FG looks like a nice transmitter, especially considering I also fly gliders. The DX7 would be fine for helicopters but beyond that, they're limited. I was considering the Airtronics SD-10G but looks like the 8FG would be good.

So...the question is, with the rx that comes with the 8FG, can you just use one wire to connect to the Vbar like you can with the Spektrum stuff?

Another question...can you update the 8FG software/programming in the future?

Scot, yes you will be able to update the software on the 8fg when Futaba come with updates.

I don't know about the single wire attachment to the V-bar though.
