No news.
Guess that the International Toy Fair in Nürnberg/Germany will tell us more.

It appears that it will be introduced at the Toy Fair by Freakware GmbH. Could be a re-badged unit that may show up elsewhere with a different label... Pure speculation, but the site at freakware.de says they are introducing it there...

EDIT: I think their site is just posting the news that it will be introduced there. Mein Deutscher ist nicht in so gutem.

Heard some rumors here and there too from time to time about a new system from Germany, if this is it I dont know but I would guess it.

As for performance I'll wait and test myself, all that is coming out is saying they are better then VBar, i'll wait and see

2010 sure is the year of FBL

Yes, it should be an exciting year. The Total-G, Spektrum, Align, current players, all coming out with stuff... some 2nd or 3rd generation. Can you imagine that it won't be long before you can fly your bird just by 'thinking' about it!!

Clayboy, are you going to the Toy Fair?

How does a MEMS sensor listed in the advertisement compare to what is in the V-bar? Does the V-bar use a similar kind of sensor?

Everyone is using the same hardware more or less Analog Devices MEMS sensors.

That isnt the hard part....

Then the hard part must be the software.

Hasn't Ulrich been working on the V-bar software for more than 10 years now?

Yep, its the software part that makes a good solution.

Just see the difference between 3.6 -> 4.0 VBar, on same hardware he made it WAY better.

The problem isn't really to tweak a system so it works with one setup, but to make it work with totally different blades, servos, helis, weights etc.

I know I might be looking at this wrong but what's there to improve on V-Bar's flight performance? It's insane!

Mr Ulrich never rests, that's for sure
I suspect spring time or so about for the next release.

Anyway, 2010 will be the year of the FBL for sure.

He could make the V-bar a little bit lighter....on the wallet.

According to German hobby magazines that came out now, the price is:
€139 (!!!) that would be around $220

With spektrum & futaba S-Bus ready.
If it is good flying wise, That will kill the whole market in one big swoop, Align 3G included.
