I think your a "Bad boy" racin No seriously though, I always believed in video proof to back up words and also believe in the pilot more than the heli. I think its O.K. to stir up a thread with what you believe to be the truth, sometimes however it can go too far, I think I'm not sure

The thing that got me going was that I posted the video of the pilot performing 3D with a HBK2 with a $3.50 tail servo. I posted this video to make the point that is more about the pilot and not the heli. Then the author of the thread said that the HBK2 still isn’t a good heli ...whatever that means…and says that he would like to see the pilot perform fast backwards flight and hurricanes with the HBK2. I then challenged the author to post video of him performing fast backwards flight and hurricanes with his high-end helis.

Then another member gets involved and says there are safety issues with clones, yet doesn’t provide any evidence of such. Then Greybird, an arrogant member who always has to comment just to give the perception that he is an authority on RC helis, calls me a troll. Greybrid is still pissed at me because I called him out about a year ago when he criticized the HBFP and HBK2. I challenged Greybird to post a video of him flying his helis . Well, Greybird has over 5800 posts at RC Groups and not one video posted. All talk and no walk.

I can assure you that Jag can fly very well. You may know him from here on RR. His point ( as I saw it) was not that clones/cheapos are bad, just that in that forum those helis are what is talked about almost exclusively. AS if folks there dont talk about the higher end helis much. Thats all. Not that a HBK2/3 is a POS or not. As is par for the course here and I guess else where people dont take the time to understand what is being commented on and respond from a point of view that is misguided. Go back and read it all, most of you MISSED THE POINT of the post.
Do a search the "proof" vids you so need are availiable. As if someones flight skills are needed to know a Logo 600 isnt in an entirley BETTER league than a HBK3, come on!

I would agree with that statement.
I also saw a Vid of Jag flying a TREX 250, looked pretty good to me, so whatever, sometimes internet geek fights are for "entertainment purposes only"

Why do you guys keep harping on point "its not the heli its the pilot"? No one is disputing that. Not in this forum nor in that thread.
You don't need to see proof, try it for yourself. Fire up a copy of Phoenix and try to fly the HBK2 backwards at high speed. You can also do an easy tail down (upright) funnel by flying it around your self. No need ot be a 3d master to get the HBK2 tail to blow out. I can tell you first hand that the HBK2's tail issues are modeled very well in Phoenix.

I've personally had my HBK2 blow out a number of times in high speed manuvers and I'm not even an advanced pilot. Try learning backwards flight, or loops when you scared your tail will blow out any minute. It adds a level of difficulty that you just don't get with a moderately priced, non-clone. If you want practice responding to tail blow outs, the HBK2 is a good trainer for that.

As for the RCGroups thread, OP had to know he was lighting a fuse when he started that thread. If you want more talk about non-clones, start threads and discuss. No need to point out to a crowd of clone fans that they don't talk enough about something they are not interested in. If you don't like that type of group, find common interests elseware.

The Pro is working out very well. It felt a little large for the backyard at first, but I've adjusted. I was a tad concerned about the TT gears getting stripped on landing. But so far it hasn't been a problem. I just land like normal, which is typically power off from 2 feet.

I wholeheartedly agree clones have some imperfections and are made cheaper. And may need some tinkering to get them to work better. I am struggling a bit with the HK250clone. They snuck in a 1/2 mm too big blade grip bearing on me the spindle wobbles around and tracking is off. but hey its a $57 kit!!!! I will fix it and fly it. I would still give it rave reviews over any other small heli I have flown its a 100 times better.
