Hello to all

Its 2010 now and I'm ready to try something different!!!
I have flown only Rjx brand being the nitro versions X50 & X90
My X90 will convert into a gasser - Sorted ....

But I want a 50 size - K3D seems to be on my list to get!

Questions I want to ask .....

1. Why dose the K3D out perform other brands?
2. What are the pros and cons with the K3D
3. How dose it stand up to quality and costs of repair jobs
4. Im looking at TT53 w/ 55 Webra pipe combo - Compass blades

helps I have a local Compass distrubtor in my country!

Still thinking.

the k3d is an extremely capable heli for its class. as far as spares go its about mid range and kit price is not so bad either. I would highly reccommend one to anyone.

Setups can range from various very numb to very agile flying styles

I don't fly the 3D nitro version. But I fly the electric version. It's like flying a quick 450 but it is stable like a large heli.

I guess you just have to try it. It has the capability of extreme cyclic that you probably would never need.

But it also tracks like it is on rails.

It's very floaty too. Lately I have been giving quick collective punches going into back flips and it seems like it hangs in the air tail down before I yank the collective to finish the flip.

Oh and rolling tail slides... It rolls so fast you feel very comfortable doing a bunch of rolls before it hits mother earth.

to tell you the truth, it will be much, MUCH lighter than that X50 that you're used to, and it will be much much faster

Short main shaft high CG changes the feel of this heli completly. It is very fast on cyclic and hangs 3D moves very easil due to the CG change the geometry of the fulrum point. It feels like 3D cheating (removes the low bottom pendulim feel of standard helis to date)it makes flying 3D just plain easier. They are also as mentioned light but very rigid and servo input to head ther is no lag.

Parts have gone up considerably. Each distributor change the parts seemed to bump and they are up there with most everyone else now so they are no bargain any more but not over priced.
