Thank you very much for all your input. It has givin me a different perspective between the two. I will stick with the Raptor and eventually upgrade to the 50 size with the conversion kit. I had my doubts about what others were saying, especially when one of the people was a hobbystore sales guy.

They will sale you anything if they can, even if you don't need it but not all are like that. When you put the Titan SE head on it,put a Trex 600 canopy on her and let one of the guys at your club fly it but don't let them see it up close.I bet they will think its a Trex LOL..

Any of you guys ever see ZeroGs at your fields ? That was allways a very nice raptor based heli along with that other carbon beauty from xtremercproducts.com. Sadly they seem to have gawn out of business. One aspect I allways loved about the raptor was/is its adaptability and wealth of aftermarket goodies. This kind of thing doesn't seem to have happened in the same way with other helis. From this one could allways argue that raptors needed aftermarket upgrades to make the fly right, but this just isn't the case. Raptors are great helis, also providing a great platform to build your own variant. Main gripe:- shame they never employed an 8mm spindle.

It does not matter to me you could put rotor blades on a piece of sh*t and I would take a pull on the sticks.

After owning the 700n for a period of time, I have start to appreciate the simplicity of my raptor 50. Simple tasks like dropping the engine or pulling the fuel tank out are so much more simple with the raptor. Have to admit though, the stock raptor w/o the new titan se head mixer parts are a little slow due to the lack of cyclic and collective pitch.

I have flown both and like the Align helis. Keep in mind with this hobby, you get what you pay for. I have also flown many MA and JR helis and really like them. You can feel the difference in the quality. In my opinion, the t-rex machines replaced the raptor. They are both super cheap to fly and repair and that is why a lot of people have them including myself. I don't think you can go wrong with either bird.

It's a complex, costly, glow powered anti-gravity machine!
