I can not get this governor to work.
I have a 9CHP Super.
I set it up on a 2 position switch.
Up is set to 50%, down is set to 90%.
The red lights flash at idle showing the sensor is working.
The yellow light works when I flip the switch(while not running).
I can not get it to operate.

Thanks, TheWoodCrafter

Did you calibrate it correctly?

I think I calibrated it correctly.

Power up.
Toggle the switch twice.
Green light.
Run throttle up then down.
Toggle switch.

It looks like it works with the lights but doesn't.

Yellow light=digital servo mode.

The yellow/green led should be blinking during calibration. If it isn't, you are not in calibration mode. Try using the governor menu with the governor gain channel endpoints at +/-95%. Then set one gain at 50-55% which should turn off the led and the other gain at 68%. You will need to let the rpm reach the set rpm on the governor before it will engage and 90% is very high rpm settting.

A properly calibrated tj pro should have the led going off with governor menu % at around 50-55% AND the led going off when throttle curve value drops below 25%.

TJ PRO
make sure you are in normal mode and your throtle curve 0-25-50-75-100 or at least 0-100 and trim neutral.also dont drop below 25% on idle up.also much reach target speed to engage. If gov set too high with curves too low,it wont come on.

I think you guys may have something there.

I have the setting too high and the motor never reaches that RPM.
Didn't realize it has to reach that RPM before the gov starts to work.
I will try to lower the set point (down switch). Up switch is set at 50% and does shut off the light.

I do have a 8.9 to 1 gear ratio.
It looked like I would have to set the down switch % high to get a 2000RPM head speed.

I will lower it and see what happens.

Thank guys, I think you got it.

Somewhere around 78-83% on a 9c should get you the 2000rpm on 8.9 ratio.

Got the Gyro to work today finally.

Lowering the setting to an achievable RPM does make it work.
Set to 82% works just right.

Thanks for all the help.

Whats your setup? I had problem with calibrating my TJ pro with my 12fg. Didn't have issue with the 10c and 9c. Funny thing was the 12fg was using the same rx as the 10c.

Whats your problem with yours?

everything is setup properly in all of the menus for the TJ but when in any flight and flip the switch to idle up 1 or 2 the throttle dies down below the normal mode. even after setting the head speed several times for each mode.

watchout for my out of control nitro bird!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What does the SERVO screen say on the TX? Does the GOVNR channel change when switching to IDLEUP? If yes, then something is different between the CONDITIONS.
