Receivers
Hi,
I am very tempted to get the TX but I just need to know whether the AR6100 series are compatible with it. I am referring to the 11X zero using the DSMJ module.

My understanding is that the DSMJ is frequency hopping but I don't mind not being able to HOP as long as I can reuse my dozen of Spektrum receivers. Also the JR DSM721 is surely not compatible?

some assistance required as I tried to search the info on the net without any firm answer.

Thanks

I don't think a DSMJ TX is compatible with a DSM2 receiver.

I remember last year the people who bought the X9303 Japanese version had to buy the more espensive (and harder to find) DS923 RX instead of the cheaper DS921 receivers.

DSMJ and DSM2 will NOT work with each other.

Thanks for the definitive answer. Well, the 11X will have to wait then. I guess they will come out with a DSM2 version sometime soon.

Btw, saw the real stuff and it really looks like a transformers with a Droopy nose. Needs plastic surgery.

Cheers

Can someone tell me why we need more then seven channels, or even six for that matter? Besides doing a scale heli with retracts or bomb drops, etc why do we need so many channels?

Anyone knows if this radio comes with free assignable switches ?
If yes I should buy one for the TotalG from CY because I don't want to have an external receiver.

I still love the FASST system, the best, should I leave it to delete the external receiver for FBL systems, Total G, V-Bar, Spartan..etc...

I think radio choices become a very personal decision and I or anyone here cannot answer for you. If you think the features, and programming are acceptable, and wish to switch for the remote reciever convenience, then I think you could be happy. I think many Futaba users get frustrated by JR programming, and vice versa. They are different. However, I think out of any of the JR lineup, the 11x looks to be most "futaba" like in their programming and options.

Thanks, what can you do with the SD card ?
Can you update the software as the 14MZ or is it only a memory to keep our models ?

Well, I prefer the Futabas software ( gyro sens, gov limit, THR cut..) and its technology 2.4G.. but the fact to see the FBL system all in one ( Rx + gyro + Gov ) would be a dream for anyone.
I saw the price of this radio at €480 with VAT in Germany (Graupner site), so
480 - 19% = €403 ~ $550

The price may be around 500 bucks in the USA, is it expensive or not ?
I paid $600 for my 10C ( fist release) and I think the 11X is a 1/3 of the 12X price.

I've tried programming a throttle cut on my 9303 with no luck. Has anyone found a way to program a throttle cut on a JR radio. I imagine it might be easier with the 12x.
