Order direct from the manufacturer...they'll charge about $10 to ship it from the UK via FedEx, you'll have it in three days or so.

Just picked it up 3 days ago and very happy with it! was thinking of purchasing something new looking at real flight 5.0 but was not happy with the feel of it and I have reflex for about four years and phoenix deffinitely out performs it as for the real flight it just doesn't feel real to me.

It is less demanding than real flight, you can also set it to a lower rate to help acomodate your video card.

Just be carefull... if you have a DX7se you cannot use Phoenix because there is no training port into it. Which is the only reason I am stock with RF

I am running it on a HP dv9000 and works great. I had to use the medium graphics on the Phoenix for a good frame rate. That is why I got the Phoenix because I read they are less demanding on something like a laptop.

I might be off topic but thanks to Windows 7, I can use Realflight on my TabletPC I wonder if with Windows 7 Phoenix can be run at high graphic quality on a laptop?

With phoenix do you have to buy the add ons? Also will it work with an older computer?

I have had RF for years, then switched to Phoenix. IMHO it is better.

I think about the hereafter. I go somewhere to get something, then wonder what I'm here after ?

"Add ons" are free. Properly installed, Phoenix automatically downloads and installs all updates, new models, new flying sites as they become available. How's THAT for a business model?

"Older" computer. How "old" is "old"? My Dell Dimension 8250 runs just fine, although I did eventually have to upgrade the original AGP video card to run Phoenix.

Phoenix Requirements:
What are the minimum system requirements for PhoenixRC?
Phoenix uses a highly optimised engine to try and provide great quality graphics and realistic physics on a wide range of computer systems. Currently we recommend the following as a minimum specification for running Phoenix:

- Microsoft Windows 2000/XP/Vista/Windows 7 (all editions)
- 1.0 Ghz Pentium 3/4 or AMD Athlon/64 compatible processor
- 256MB system memory (RAM)
- 1.5 GB free, uncompressed hard-disk space*
- ATI Radeon 9800/NVidia Geforce Ti4200 with at least 128MB memory
- Microsoft DirectX 9.0c or higher*
- DVD-ROM Drive for installation
- 1 free USB 1.1/2.0 port
- 100% DirectX 9 compatible sound card (optional)

* Please Note: Updates and new content downloaded from the internet may require more free disk space.
* Microsoft DirectX is a free download from the Microsoft website.

If you are unsure if your current system is compatible with our software, please feel free to ask us at support@phoenix-sim.com.

Is PhoenixRC supported on Microsoft Vista and Intel Mac machines?
Yes, Phoenix has been tested and found to be working on the following Operating Systems:

- Microsoft Windows 2000
- Microsoft Windows XP/Media-centre edition
- Microsoft Windows Vista - All editions
- Microsoft Windows 7 - All editions
