Chris, that stupid ratchet can be adjusted, trust me i know. After all remember i fly mode 1, i have to change the ratchet, and sometimes the gimbles, i am hard pressed to find a mode 1 radio in the states. It nothing to worry about, you can do it, its only money if you mess it up. And if i order one, it takes a couple of weeks, so i learned how to do it myself.Hawk

Got another reciever battery instead of a bec. I'll just use the for awhile. I still have my 5amp charger so I can still charge both reciever and mains at the same time.Glenn

The orange recievers are now available fbl ?
Peices of the quad should start arriving
In the next few days , I am also considering some sort of gps locating device in case I misplace the rig somewhere, I may need to have a spotter help while I learn this stuff ! I am already stressed out about losing this thing, it would definately hurt the bank account if I lost it, thats why I was considering spending the 200 bucks for a locating device.

If the receiver batteries are easy to install than that's technically the better way to go. I don't like messin with them in the goblin. Not much space to work with.Name........Jason

I saw a guy use a FPV system on a glider once. It went out of sight and he flew it totally on the tv. It had a return to home feature where if the TX signal was lost or shut off it just flew itself back to a point he preset. Will the GPS allow it to return if it goes out of sight?

Yes but the whole point of fpv is to fly out of visual ground sight, it allows you to fly as you are in the seat controlling it using the camera as your eyes.
There are some people claiming 5 mile flights , I just want it for short range for now as I am sure this is gonna be a learning curve for me, you may be a great source of information for flying this way.

I thought the gov limited fpv to line of sight? Or is that something they are working on? I don't know, but they will find a way to take the fun out of it!Bald Pilots usually wear hats!

I was going to say something, but was just waiting to see if anyone actually reads the AMA bylaws. FPV is only AMA legal line of sight with a spotter.Remember...runways are for models and wings are for fairies.
