Would this be big enough? My truck is in the background for an idea of scale.

Will that burn wood for the smoky flavor ? I think we would have to use charcoal and wood to get the best flavor

Left side is gas. Middle right is charcoal. Far right is a smoking box that feeds the middle right for a slow smoke. Wood, charcoal, corn pellets, take your pick.

That needs to become a permanent fixture at the field. Helicopters and smoked animal products. Might have to change the name of the club to heaven.

I have a nice insulated electric smoker as well. We could rig it up to run off some those big ass lipos. I've done several pork shoulders with good results but never done any brisket.

Yeah,Jay I have an electric smoker as well. Those briskets take about 8 hours to smoke! or more! Best solution is to smoke it first, wrap, put in cooler to keep warm and then bring to the field!

For sure Sonny. The pork shoulders I've done before take 12 to 14 hours to smoke. I figured you would just volunteer to get the field about 3:00 am and get it going. You're usually up posting on RR at that time of the day anyway

The nano is alive and well again ! This time I put a piece of foam on the front lower edges in hopes it will keep it from pop pi g the chip again.
Considering it takes so long to prepare the brisket maybe someone could do the work and bring it out Saturday to warm it up again it sounds great !

I've read you can wrap a brisket right off the smoker in foil and a couple of towels and it will stay warm for a couple of hours!in a cooler.
If I'm posting at 3am, it means i haven't been to sleep yet, if its 4am it means i can't sleep and woke too damned early! Lol
