The only reason I have the Ice 75 was to put in my Protos. It has a designed in spot under the battery tray for the esc. But after seeing it in there and the fact that it looks to me like it gets starved for air I couldnt bring myself to put it in there so I got the regular one with the heat sink. If any of you plankers need an esc let me know.

Sonny I hear you about the spare parts thing but I am quickly learning you can have too many. The only reason I didn't just total out my raptor after the last crash is because I have $300 worth of spare parts for it. Still didnt help too much since it was most of the electric stuff that got wrecked. In the future I am going to limit the spares and just make sure I have a spare heli or two in flying condition and order parts as needed.

Sounds like a good plan Jay. I still have parts on the wall that I will probably not use anymore.

Jay did you ever set up that castle esc you have, I have a question on them. Do you have to set it to fixed end points and calibrate it and then go set it up for gov mode? Or can you just set it up in gov mode? Its been awhile since I set up an elec heli, like 3 years I think!

Setup fixed end points, then governor mode. Also have to setup auto mode if you want that too.

Thanks Jon, that's what I thought but the manual isn't to clear about that. It kind of sounds like its one or the other.

Check out the castle web site. There are three PDFs one for fixed end points, one for gov, and one for auto.

Hey Jason, if you are going to buy a Castle Creations ESC I just remembered I have a 30% off coupon for anything off of their website. You are welcome to have it if you want (assuming I can find it).

You have to buy direct from castle not anywhere else, to be honest you may get a better deal from Experience if you can get them before they leave for Ircha

Flew the 130x in the yard since I had to make an unplanned stop at work and wife had different plans about my day than I did.

Oh believe me I do. There was yard work to do after the rains. Forgot what it was like to have to mow the grass. Actually she mowed the grass and I just helped out ;-)

You da man Jon! I know what you mean about mowing! It was like once a month there for awhile instead of once a week!
