Wish I would have bought a crappy turnigy charger for a spare. Might be next on the list. iCharger is in the mail, they are going to send me a new one at least.

Talked with Aaron about that he said he might take Wednesday off and not even go to the field or you'd be right about him being burned oout! Those classes are about 9 hours of flying! Whew! that's alot even for a guy in his twenties!

All by myself at the field. It's really nice out. I guess I better not charge too much without starting my car!

So on my way home from work I decided to run out to Cobblestone for the first time. Not a bad little hobby shop. If you have a 450 or 500 you have it made for parts. But anything bigger seems to be hit or miss. Fortunately they had the one and only part for my 700 that I needed. Still seems to be a much better hobby shop than the sorry ones they have here in GR.

My new GY701 and Rx batteries showed up today, but still no canopy or voltage reg. At least the raptor is back together, now I can go back to finishing the N5C.

Does anyone have a phone number or email for John Fields (aka Hawk 3319)? If so, please PM it to me. I know he works like 100 hours a week but I would like to talk to him if possible.

Does anybody have a esc for sale or even better yet generously donate? Mine just started on fire. I pulled it off right away so no damage done to the heli. Just some black marks. Pisses me off though.

I have NIB Castle Phoenix Ice Lite 75 that I will sell you cheap if you are interested. To run the Lite in a heli you have to make sure you mount it where it gets air flowing across it.

If its for the 550 with dfc head ice 75 probably isn't enough, it would do in a pinch but you better be running a separate BEC.

Yeah it's for the 550. I'm not even sure what size I need. You guys would probably know better than I.

Most are running a standard ICE 100 with a separate 20A BEC. With our current flying style an ICE 75 with separate BEC would probably get you through.

I went with the ICE80HV because I had delusions of going over 6S with the 550. And since the HV doesn't have a BEC I had to get a separate one.

You actually have everything you need for now. Just rip off the ice120hv and BEC from the 700.

The 120 is way overkill, but its "free" and you'll be back in the air.

Jesus Jay, I just read you have an ice lite 75. Maybe you should just open up a store yourself ;-)

Ah just fly the 700 till you get your esc replaced! You'll learn just as well with that! You esc is covered isn't it? Jay is learning early on, to stock up on parts you may need in a hurry to keep you flying! But there is a fine line on just what parts you need to stock up on. I still have way too many parts for my 600 which i haven't flown much this year at all!

How many flights did you have on that esc Jason. Couldn't have been too many? I'd be pissed!

I guess I'll get an ice 100. I had under 30 flights or so. I wonder if KC Hobbies will warrenty it? I don't want to touch the 700 stuff and start stripping it of parts. I'm thinking of selling it. I can barely afford to crash the 550. The 700 is completely out of the question to fly. Just the blades are $100 for the 700 vs $41 for the same blades in the 550. Ya know!!

Even with the ice100 you should get a BEC or separate flight pack and voltage regulator.
