Great night of flying tonight ! Most of you left to early to hear the sound of main blades hitting tail blades
620 and 96mm tail blades along with DFC head = main blades will hit tail blades in flight
I think the corn chopping award for tonight goes to Tom it sounded like he was chopping wood out there Alls well that ends well no carnage was left at the field tonight.

Was this on your Compass, and no damage? I burned just shy of a gallon today, that was a lot of flying for me! By the time I got home I could hardly walk, pooped me right out! I enjoyed it very much and it was good to see all you guys out there, what was there, 9 flyers tonight?

Jay this if for you. Notice the 290 vs the 609.

They must of made some changes to their colors. At my last job we made a transmission pump for New Venture Gear and used a loctite product for sealing plugs after they were pressed in and it was clear and thin as water.

If you use the 609 to hold your bearings in you will have to heat them to 500 degrees to disassemble but I like the fact that you can wick it in after it's assembled.

Speaking of bearings, anyone need any? I'm thinking of getting a smattering of them for my fleet.

I agree Steve. If I can remember I will bring my weed wacker on Saturday and knock the weeds down a little lower in that area.

steve 01,
Yup,its not loud at all.I ran mine both days at the Mid American FunFly and not one person complained because you couldn't hear it .
Its a really good gen for the money and you can get one for $89.00 with the online coupon. You also get a ext warranty for another $20.00 bucks..I paid just over $110.00 for mine about a year ago and still have 2 years on it ..
They run about 7hrs on less than a gallon of gas and puts out 14/15A ..Charged X2 5000mAh 6S packs at the same time around 15mins for my 700E charging at 13 1/2A.Thats with charging my laptop and radio.

Yeah, Lon I couldn't hear it at all, but I still gotta bitch! LOL! Some of them gennys gotta crank right up when they put out any amps but I must say, I couldn't hear it unless there was no other noise at all at the field. But I can't hear out of one ear anyway! Nitro all the way!! Although I have been starting to like flying the 450 flybarless! I'm gunna set it up for 6 cell!

Hey Jason, I checked on those bearings, they were the same price. I don't know where you looked and found them cheaper, but that's what I found.

EPBuddy already sent a non-generic email with a few things to try tonight (10:20pm) not bad for a vendor also in eastern time zone. Still no joy though. Won't be resolved in time for saturday. But hopeful for next week. Have to bust out the charger that came with the blade 400 and settle in for 1.5hour 3s charges per battery. No 550 for me until I can mouch at the field.

That's why some guys have 2 of everything, just in case, just like Steve! You just never know when something will crap out on you. If I fly on Saturday I'll bring a spare charger with me, it will charge at10 amps. We'll have to see how the weather is, heck the field might even turn green again!

Thanks all. I just got an email that HK has the Turnigy 8 in stock in the states. Was thinking of getting one for a backup already / use for little "toy" heli's I have.

I was actually thinking about getting a 3010B and using the 206 for the small stuff, but now that might not happen.
