Whether it feels gritty or not tear it down and clean it if you think there is a chance that dirt got in there, it will only take a few minutes to ensure that you dont destroy a motor

Sorry you missed it Jon. I wish someone had seen it because I'm not really sure what happened. I got most of it diassembled last night. If I hadn't destroyed the electronics it wouldn't have been too bad.

You weren't using the dx8 were you?

Sounds like u should just scrap the raptor and concentrate on your new noise maker.

Hey steve, does your new 450 have the standard FBL head or is it the Tarot DFC head?

I have the regular Tarot fbl head on mine and its about ready for a test flight, I just transferred it over to the dx8 from the dx7. I just have to run through the set up to make sure its all right!

Jon I thought about burying the Raptor but I have too many parts for it and plus I can see that I will need several helis if I am going to be able to fly at least twice a week. When I rebuild I will rethink the location of the Gryo/Gov amp so it doesnt get smashed in a nose dive.

I wouldn't over think it too much. Because I'm sure next time will be tail in instead.

If they were Spektrum parts they would still be intact! LOL! I lost a gy611 in a nose in a few years ago, when they were still expensive! I know how bad it sucks!

I can just move it up the frame a little higher. I won't be able to access it with canopy on but once it set up I didn't mess with it much.

Does anyone know if the rapter 50 canopy will fit on the Titan SE. I don't know why not since the frames are the same. The stock cano from TT is $100 but I found a fusano for $38 at helidirect that looks pretty decent but it's for the regular 50.

Brand new Tarot head didn't fare too well on the maiden flight, heli was uncontrollable and flight lasted about 10 seconds and went down in the street! Ripped a ball link out of the main grip just like my last align grip! Not to be found! CRAP! I don't know if there was something in the radio that was off or what! I was using the dx8 with it for the first time.

Sounds like another victim of wrong gain channel. But sonny doesn't use the 3gx.

Sounds like a "victim" of incorrect setup of either radio or beast x

Yeah, it was one of the two! I didn't do anything in the radio. linear everything. One servo.
Took off and it felt strange, was going to bring it back and land it to see what was wrong and bam! The tail wasn't all over or anything, i had it set to sport, maybe that was too aggressive.

what do you mean by the sensor direction being reversed. I went through all the setup steps. if something was wrong it had to be in the parameters.

a linkage rod was pulled out of the servo link, maybe that cut loose in flight. wish they'd put a more aggressive thread on those, they're almost smooth.
