I could modify the needles to run alcohol and Klotz but I dont think 20 a gallon would be to price savvy

There is big difference between the sweet sound of a nitro motor running 20,000 rpm and a chinese generator laboring its ass of trying to output 10 amps of power. It's like comparing the sound of big block chevy with a set of flow masters to a pimped out honda civic with a coffee can on the back. One is cool as hell and the other is just obnoxious and sad. (hopefully I don't have to explain which is which)

Throw a old car muffler on the generator....geez. Hey Steve, I took wednesday off this week. Could you help me with the setup of a beast on my 550 when you get out of work. I'll have the 550 fixed by then. I tried to set it up but didn't get something right so I got pissed and put the 3gx back on.

Name........Jason

I have the -8 thats what most people run in the 450 the -10 is a little less power but should work well on a 13 tooth

Well going to the field tonight was a bad idea. Decided to hike up my skirt and start doing some inside turns. Going to my left was not too bad but the first time I tried to turn inside on my right she went in hard straight on the nose. The heli did okay, bent main shaft, tail boom and skids (the monster skids didnt break) so I have all those parts. Canopy is pretty much junk, the bitch is I tacoed the battery, smashed up the voltage regulator and even broke the case apart on the GY701. It kicked a lot sand up too so I'm concerned that the motor may have ingested some sand.

If the Gy701 is toast I'm thinking of converting her to FBL, can I use any FBL head on a raptor?

Yes you can use different heads on the raptor but we will have to experiment a little to get the ratios right, I would think the best head for it is sitting on your 6HV right now that should work pretty well, otherwise RJX or Align 600 should work.
I have a voltage regulator if you need it, as for the motor take it apart and clean it before running it again and make sure you clean out the muffler as well, the dirt gets stuck into everything that gets oil on it (so everything)in the motor including the carb.

The crank would feel gritty if you got sand in it. So when you pull it apart, that would be the first clue. So sorry about your crash Jay, I hate to see a guy crash, I think it brings back memories of my first couple of years! Owe it hurts!
