Yeah, had a good time but not real happy with the weak tail on the 450.Need to figure it out not confident on the tail holding strong and got some wagging issues.

Maybe you will need to move the ball in on the servo arm and then you will be able to turn up the gain more??? Just an idea but I am not too familier with 401s to help with out seeing it. Sorry

Yeah I just read that in trextuning, they say between 7 to 10mm. The tail seems to be holding after some adjustments today but it just doesnt seem to have power when flying. Its as though I have to use max rudder input to move the tail.

You will need to shorten the servo arm more and reset the gyro in rate mode then readjust the throws, and put a scorpion -8 motor on a 13 tooth if it doesnt hold then put a 520 on it

I had the radio all screwed up.I was adjusting the piro rate with dual rate adjustments and the servo was working real slow.I believe thats why when I put in an input it did not respond correctly.Put my end points for the rudder at 100% and adjusted the limit and servo position to get the best of both left and right inputs to be as close to the end points as possible in both directions.I did not understand that the piro rate was being adjusted by the atv's (end points on the radio) and I was trying to do this in the dual rate mode.I was frustrated and cold and the last thing I was wanting to do was repair instead of fly.The heli flies great and I'm sure he 401 is not the best servo for this machine and I will have to get the Scorpion -8 for the power and it also sounds much better than the align motor.Until then keep the antenna's pulled out(lol) and the blades off the ground.

And I also measured the ball from the center of the servo and it is at 8mm, do you really think it needs to be shorter.Maybe just get rid of all the nonsense and put on a carbon tail rod.

I ordered the new Align flybarless system for my 700. This should be interesting.

Cool! I've been following most of the newcomers closely and the Align system is most tempting. I have a VBar an MiniV, so we should compare notes...

Well today is my wifes birthday and I have been thinking long and hard about what to get her. I have come to the conclusion that a Raptor 90 would be the best gift for her, I think she would really injoy that. Well ok she wouldn't enjoy the heli but she would enjoy me not being around bothering her because I would be out flying the 90. So because I look at it that way a 90 would be the right gift for her.
