Glenn, with a BEC the ESC will still get warm. The motor pulling amps is what makes the ESC get warm.

you wont be doing any hurricanes with one of them, or tick tocks or inverted flying either. So will it teach you or just allow you to fly drunk!

Sonny you can fly any way you want. Just above 50'. Practice and learn with no chance of crashing.

You can do all of those manuevers Sonny the thing only takes over when you flip the switch and goes back to upright and hovers again its gonna be revolutionary for learning to fly you can find videos on you tube with Allen Zabo testing it,its pretty cool.

I just got back from my first flights with the 6HV Its SMOOTH I flew 6 flights getting things dialed in and was already setting it at 100 % throttle it flies nice but leaves mw wondering if I can get more headspeed out of it without killing the batteries,Thanks again to Chris and Sonny for the batterries that was the first flight on it !
Better get yours done Jay the thing flies great! Be careful on the start even on soft its pretty fast on spool up

Looks like it works fine for learning all kinds of 3d moves,Sonny I think they created this just for you, seriously this would help you a lot only catch is you must stay above 50 feet otherwise it will right itself,I think it would save you what it costs even if its 500 bucks.

Damned Lon, I guess you have to count yourself lucky in that aspect, the highway thing could have been disastrous! I know what you mean about the pain from all the walking, after a while I had to drive my van down there! I am so sore today its not funny, but I have no regrets about going, it was awesome, even with all the fricking wind! We could have done with out so much of that for sure.
Yeah this could of turned out BAD for sure..As soon as we got home,we parked and that was it..Wife got up and went 1/8th mile down the road to the store and it broke right in the parking lot..Pretty much the ball joint was ready to go anytime on the E-Way .Spent 11hrs working on it (45min job if my back was in good shape) and to top it off,the damn tire blew on my wifes 98 Grand AM ..I need to fix the 700N but my back is flipping out right now. This is the reason I don't make it to funflys much or drive out to fly with you guys, always flipping broke..Sometimes I just wanna quit and sale everything..

Lon at least everyone is safe and it happened when it did.

Well I am glad I called in and stayed home today. Made a few dollars selling stuff and ordered the Copilot 2 system. The Hard Deck is going to be an addon when it becomes available.
The Whippy is going to be all blinged out now! LOL

The Heli Command FBL unit already has a bailout function built in and that would be less wiring one other thing to consider is can you connect it to the Wippy as that is running S bus correct ?

How the heck did you get that Compass put together so fast Steve? What are you running for electronics? I'm using a CC ICE2 80HV with a Hercules BEC that is supposedly rated for upto 14s so I soldered the leads directly to my ESC battery leads. Also, did you ground the boom? The guy I got mine from had a huge wire attached to the boom running all the way upto one of the motor mounts. Looked like crap so I took it off. The guy in Detroit who had the 6hv also had his boom grounded.
