Oh, BTW brushless is 5X quicker. Trust me.

Friends don't encourage friends to fly helis! It can cause part shortages.

HeliSam,
With the Align 2-1,you can solder it to stay on all the time or solder a switch on it..
Well I just have a regular old on/off switch that I decided to put on my heli because it was hard to plug the battery directly into the receiver. Is this bad?

There's 3 prong's that the switch run's across to power it on/off,solder the 2 on the left. The only issue is the switch it's self and once you solder the prong's,you won't have any issue's with it at all..
When you open it up,you'll see the very thin piece of metal that fit's inside the plastic on/off slider. That metal piece is the issue with it because it bend's over time (very thin) and doesn't make a good contact on the prongs..
I've got a cheapo soldering iron that I use to solder on Dean's connectors. It is not adjustable power wise which is about 25 to 30 watts if I remember right. Will this be okay for soldering this switch or do I need to get something with a finer tip and adjustable power?

Thanks,

Jay

Hey guys I've got a question on pitch gauges. Since I now have a FBL heli I'm looking to buy the rc logger digital pitch gauge. My align pitch gauge doesn't fit on my mavrikk wc blades. WIll the rc logger one be bigger?

I wouldn't waste your money Sam. No need for a pitch gauge. Just eyeball zero degrees, that will get you close or dead on. Pitch and cyclic don't matter, you will be fine tuning that in flight anyways. Haven't used a pitch gauge since I went FBL.

We are all bad boys
Speed, altitude, weight, noise, UAV, any number of things make us bad boys. Especially when your model hits someone or causes a fire.
The guys in FL got lucky but nearly lost their field again. Heavy hand of FAA or local government is getting closer and closer.
Be ready to write those letters very soon when the FAA NPRM comes out.
