Hey I fly on the main runway all the time. All by my self. No corn fields to be found.
Last I herd that only old men fly at West Michigan. All flying stops at 6PM so they can get home to tale there Geritol and watch the evening news.
Last I herd Hobby World took all the trains out and built a Rock Crawler track. From what I have seen Rock Crawling is the hot thing now. Best excitement around at a lightning speed of 3mph.

It does look like Hobby World has made some big changes towards the car /truck / rock crawler crowd. Guess that's a really popular thing - lotsa customers apparently. Not sure how much us aircraft types will be supported at Hobby World

cars have been the bigger market for years, Jeff is doing what he can to get the business going in his name but its not easy to do
All we can do is support them if we want to keep them around

Hobby world is having a going out of business sale on Tuesday this coming week.
They will be at a new location starting in February I am told
Very close to where they are currently.
Not sure what the new name will be at the moment but they will have a crawler track setup as well as a small carpet track in the future.

Hobby World
Talked to Jeff Nawrot Saturday. "Hobby World" will be closing under that name, BUT will re-open (at the same location) under a different name (Jeff told me the name, but I forgot exactly what he said - something like "Legends RC and Hobbies". More re-arrangement of the store is planned. Sounds like this change is a result of the settlement of Butch's estate. Jeff said there will still be a row of airplane stuff - probably along the North wall.

Anybody know where to get some 30% heli fuel locally around GR? I'd been buying it at Hobby World, but they're all out now. (Not sure if he'll be stocking it at the re-open, either.) My jug is down to the last tank full.
My guess is that fuel won't be sold this year at Toledo, either, since it wasn't 2 years ago.
EDIT: Got a reply this evening to a message I sent to the Toledo show folks: Rich's Brew will be at Toledo, and will be selling fuel! Only restriction (as in the past) is that you can't bring the fuel inside the show area.
