Where does everyone meet up at to fly? And do you have to be an ama member to fly there? If so can I be someone's guest to fly? I will get my ama membership next season but this season is too close to being done to mess with it now.Oxy rep, lynx rep

If anything you want to get your AMA now. If you join prior to September 14th, you will get the remainder of this year and all of 2016 for 58 dollars. If you join after September 14th or wait until next year, you will have to pay 75 dollars.....so makes sens to get it now

Oh also, the only way you can be a "guest" without AMA, is if you are buddy boxed by an Intro Pilot Instructor, otherwise, while you may be a guest at a club field, you still have to have AMA coverage

Good point, I didn't think it was that way. Thought it was $58 for the rest of this year only. Will look into it.Oxy rep, lynx rep

Anyone on this thread from the Niles MI area? It's in berrien county. Or even from lk MI to three rivers along the St line. I have a great field to fly at that is literally less then a half mile from the state line. Not a club field, the only rule is common sense. Occasional spectators...Oxy rep, lynx rep

The insurance you get with your AMA license is another big plus. Your covered at non AMA fields as long as you have permission to fly there.Glenn

Looks like it is going to be similar to last week, maybe a quick pop up shower here and there, with those $hitty gray skies.

Sonnyhad, are you having a specific problem with the align helis? If so what seems the issue and which bird/s? I ask because I'm considering either a 600L or an x5 for my winter project. But have been leaning towards the 600L.Oxy rep, lynx rep

Sonny is just giving some crap about Align cause its not his favorite brand and we have been kinda joking around about it lately, Hung has a 600l so you should talk to him about it, I have the old 600 pro DFC ( only had for about a month ) and so far I like it
