For complete beginners, I think the mSR is way better. I don't know how many times my son has banged the mSR against the wall and it still flys right away. I doubt the new SR will be that durable. I don't think it's wasting money in that case.
If a lurner got a good grip of a MSR, then for the price of the SR they could go straight to a detuned MiniTitan or Align 450 and not have to spend too much money to get them up to 3D.
That's assuming they already have a capable radio (mSR radio won't work), batteries, and charger to get the MT going.

I actually prefer the SR frame. It looks stronger and cleaner than the CP Pro. It does look heavier though which probably adds to it's stability. Are the SR and CP heads the same? I have't looked into that.

I have the CP and would rather have the SR. It is built stronger and already has a brushless motor.

They aren't offering it as a bnf yet its only rtf and they are selling for 199.00. Then when the beginner gets the hang of it they can buy a dx6 bind to it and go full 3d with it. From what I was getting out of it the radio is very detuned the guy in the video ( on the eflite site) was banging the sticks from side to side and the heli was just moving a little bit.

I am thinking this is a good buy for my kids to go to thy can fly the cx no problem but they have a hard time flying my 450 even with dual rates set high.

I put quite a bit of work into a CPv3 and rly coulndt get any kind of performance out of the dd tail, it jusy can't react faat enough. Even esky got away from the dd tail with the king3 I think eflite could have done the same.
