I'm going to run the JR R921 with the 2 in 1 and the Align governor. If I can just buy a mod 1 main gear set....

Chicken run,

So you can run the receiver with the rev limiter AND the governor at the same time?? or do you not use the rev limiter??

rev limiter
I am currently running the 7100R on multiple heli's. Makes for a super clean setup, running 8V to cyclic (Both 8717's and 610's).
No need for a Governor as the rev limiter works perfect. Just dial in a head speed and go fly.

johnnyo7, i think it is (either / or) but not both, i prefer the gov set up over the limiter as keeps a constant rpm as best possible, the limiter will cap the rpm and stop motor over speeding etc ...

cheers

Nope, that is the beauty of the 7100/R. Not much wiring to worry about, clean install, rev limiter included and two sides on the RX, one regulated to 5.8 Volts and the other unregulated to strait 8.0 volts from the 2S LiPo.

I run the cyclic JR 8717 strait through at 8.0 Volts and gyro and throttle servos on the regulated side.

Here is a great series of videos with everything you need to know about the AR 7100/R from Finless Bob:
http://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=78276

You don't need a regulator nor a governor.

How is that for a clean wiring job, no more bird's nests.

Actually by making your Throttle Curves on Idle Up 1+2 strait 100% you are forcing the rev limiter to work all the time and it acts like a Governor. Then you keep a normal Throttle curve for your Normal Flight Mode. In the unlikely event that the limiter fails and the motor over-speeds, all you have to do is flip to Normal mode and land the heli safely .

At the precipice, we change!

I prefer to setup all 3 throttles without revlimiter hookup. Then I use the limiter and raise v-curve up 5 to 10 points, because I have had 2 skepturm sensor quit. That enough HS change to notice the rpms have jumped and not hurt your motor. When into my curve droppe dthem down and flew the rest tof the day.. You will be special how good your heli will fly on curve alone.. A gov or limiter just keeps the headspeed smoother.

Panos wiring looks real clean...2 thumbs up

What you Brit's don't have a dental plan over there? LMAO

I'm running the ar7000 along side the 2 in 1 with the switch turned upside down so oil doesnt get into the switch area. I flew for over a month without a gov or rev limiter while i dialed the engine in and the 91h motors are forgiving so i believe a gov is much less critical then say a 600 with a 50 in it. you dont overspeed so bad on a 700.

popped in the g600 align gov and the heli holds its headspeed much better then no gov at all.

love the way the heli performs with this set up

7100 rx
Align ds610's on 2s
Multi-Gov using the Spektrum backplate sensor
Switchglo onboard ignition

This is the set-up i have on my current 600. So far it has been flawless and a real pleasure to fly. Not to mention less wiring minus a regulator.
