I just switched over to Pennzoil Marine Premium Plus 2-Cycle Oil at 36:1 for the Wally Motor in my Spectra-G and so far, so good.

For my Predator, I use Klotz R-50 also at 36:1 with good results.

Gill, too bad they killed the Super Ferry. I'd love to visit your flying site and bring my birds with me.

Just another crappy day in Paradise....Aloha!

still waiting...
like it says still waiting for more parts.
Meanwhile decided to do some mods.
I have made a new shaft for the 700, which is a bit longer by 11mm.
I installed a third bearing block under the autorotation gear.
I made sure there was a clearence between the tank and the block. To take up the gap between the bearing and the autorotation gear I installed a 1mm and 1.5mm washer.
The washer is pushing on the one way bearing shaft so there's no contact with the gear it self.
I don't know if is going to help or not but what ta heck it wont hurt, (I think)
what do you gurus think?

Cheers

Looks interesting zorba. CNCjunkie I also wish they still had the super ferry. Its so stupid that they didnt allow it to go anymore. environmental impact study my a$$ just look at young brothers and their barge service are polluting and disrupting way more than the super ferry would have. Im just pissed some people in hawaii are against change for the better. On another note if you ever come to this island let me know ill let you fly one of my birds

Nice work Bill, I didn’t think there was enough room for the third bearing but obviously I was wrong.

I only like to fly gassed up

Hi all !

My metal clutch bearing block and the 7067 bearings arrived so I can go forward this weekend.

Here is my tank with the fuel lines.

It was real pain to get that all together and to find a felt clunk fuel filter that fits in the tank.

As long as the felt clunk is for petrol it will be fine.
Some of the smaller Felt Clunks aren’t heavy enough for inverted flight.

I only like to fly gassed up

Is plenty of room Peter. I could of gone higher and not use the 2.5mm spacers but I wanted to be sure that the block would fit before I drill those holes.
Now I have to take it apart and match and drill the other frame.

Cheers

Got these new tail fins from Helibug Today. Nice G10 material. Gives it a different look. I like it! Also, new clutch from Lynx is in and ready for a beating tomorrow. Hopefully I will have some aggressive flying videos for us tomorrow. Wish me luck!!!

When in doubt, gas it!

Settings
My setting are as follows:

Oneil Brothers Racing Race Ported CY 28.5cc
Motul 800 2t 100% synthetic @ 25:1
Chevron 93 octane
Low at 1.25 out
High at 1.75 out
This is their recommended settings but it is a little rich on top. After the 1st gallon I will probably lean it about 1/4 turn and leave it. Even rich its got way more power than I will ever need.

When in doubt, gas it!

Im Disappointed that i cant fly today because i need to work on the farm and also get cars towed away. please LcyRace give us some awesome video im almost ready to switch over to synthetic oil and cant wait. I do think that my motor is not liking this amount of oil in the fuel and thats why its running a little rough and bogging so much. Thank you all for your specs you guys are running
