hey

just so you guys know the castle 85 fits up in the electronic box on one of the sides real nice... Make plates for your batteries like in my picture and it balances out great. I would get those batteries inside the frame to protect them..

Check out my pictures and see what I did because it works and looks great. Also went flying today with a friend that owns a 600 ESP and he said mine felt lighter in the air than his. He said it flew great and was very impressed...

both were on 8s...

This link shows how I did my conversion for interest,

http://www.rcheliaddict.co.uk/align...-pro-parts.html

There are lots of other ways you could do it. Yes drilling the holes is the tricky bit. You can slot them slightly (with a small round file) to give you some adjustment.

I want to do a fuselage that is designed for trex 600n, don't want to modify the fuseleage, so I figure to do a conversionwould be easier. Probally just run 6s, maybe 8s. Any advice is great.

I suppose I could drill the holes a bit big, so the mount can be ajusted a bit, then use washers on the out side of frames. Loctite the hell out of it. Also need shims on inside of frames for the wider frames? Greg saw a vid on youtube, where the motor was mounted upside down from the top of frames.

600 N to 600 E, big problem, need help!
I have a 600 nitro o.s. 50 hyper wanting to convert it to Electric, my Problen is I am using a 5 bladed Penta rotor head from arodyne r/c, this set up works great for about 12-15 flights then clutch lining goes bad , because the rotor speed is recomended no more than 1500 rpms because of the gearing the cluch over speeds in the housing causing the clutch liner to ware out early, so replacing the the liner is in order every 15 or so flights, a pain in the butt to replace every time. soooo, wanting to convert to Electric, I have a custom made mount for the electric motor to fit the nitro frames that fit perfectly, the rub is I am told the Pinion gearing would need to change, to reduce head speed, to the 1500 rpm range ( which they say is not available)so what can I do? I dont want to change from 5 blade to 2 blade, want to keep it scale looking, and what motor would be sufficient for scale flying? I see the you tube conversions but all I see is pod and boom stock heli`s any body have any Ideas?? thanks.
