A TFR would include the flying site. STS-131 is set to go on March 18 for 13 days. This would bring it back on the 31st or later. It's very rare they come back early so we should be ok.

Good.

I was seriously depressed over the possiblity of having to move the date (tough to change work schedules this late in the game). Nick Maxwell is in a similar "boat".

The last thing we have to worry about is NASA doing anything on time or ahead of schedule.

I'm still hoping, my schedule should be fine as my surgery is on the 9th and that gives me 2 and a half weeks to recuperate.

Hi Guys,

Two weeks to go! I uploaded an event flyer to the original post. Cliff was kind enough to come over the other day and scope out the flying site. I think he was impressed. We have enough room to set up a flight line 90 degs to the normal flight line if the wind is going to be an issue. All the trophies have been ordered, we will be cooking food on site, and the club is looking forward to hosting you guys. I believe we will have a good turnout in Class 3 and F3C. I’m not so sure about Class 1 and 2. If you know of anyone planning on attending the event it would be helpful if we could get a list going here.

Thanks,
Danny

well heard from "my ride" today and he's swamped with work and aint going to able to swing it. Quite honestly I dont know if I'd be ready for a 14hr drive by then. Each day its less pain, but holy crap it still hurts, even with 30mg of Oxycodone

I was Bill's ride. Unfortunately, in my line of work, even with a requested day off, I may not be able to take it. This project is going live that weekend and I cant be gone for the 2-3 days to get there and back....

Dwight, when are you planning to arrive at my place? I can take whatever days i need to. Can fly any day, but to gain entrance you must be with a club member due to the landfill nazis.

Update
Gang, I'm going to try my damnedest to make it to the field in Friday. I am leaving for a last minute trip to Indiana on Sunday, and expect to get back home sometime Thursday. Of course, there is always that chance of a delay. So, I may not make it till Saturday morning. This means no practice for me this weekend, either So, don't dig on me too hard cause my flying sucks. I've had ONE good day of practice this season (two weeks ago).

See you there!

Erich
