CREEPY
The only thing that could have made it funny would be :

BLOOD, LIMBS AND FLESH SPLATTERED ALL OVER, BLOOD GUSHING and SPURTING ala Monty Python style, or South Park Style....then it would have been awesome.

Otherwise it is a poor excuse for a show, both talent wise and in comedic sense. The fact that some of panelist's look like Spanish is NOT their primary lanquage also makes it creepier, too.

Align should do a public disclaimer, stating it had no part in sponsoring this activity, nor does it condone it, basicly a PSA....

Oh, but wait....a hotshot did this , too, right??? And he was loved for it, eh?

That's in Spain, not Argentina. And all the talking is because the one guy that started it says that it looks like he (the pilot) looking at his hair style got caught by the helicopter and kept going on his whole looks so the other people just wanted him to stop and let the pilot go ahead with the performance.

I think you'd get arrested if you tried that in the US. Putting hundreds of people in mortal danger is not cool. Can you imagine if something went wrong and the helicopter went into the crowd?Avant RC

Stupid Monopoly
No one ever said Stupid was a distinctly American trait. LOL.
Can you imagine if something went wrong and the helicopter went into the crowd?
Yes........
BLOOD, LIMBS AND FLESH SPLATTERED ALL OVER, BLOOD GUSHING and SPURTING ala Monty Python style, or South Park Style....
And we HAVE set the standard for what happens to Stupid.

No, you don't go to jail.

You get sued in civil court.

Darwin Award Nominee!
I really liked the female judge holding a few sheets of PAPER over her head, for PROTECTION from the 3000rpm rotor blades! I think waving her pen like a "magic wand" would have been just as effective!

That would have been ok if the pilot was required to stand by the judges and fly only over the stage. Yes the woman with the paper hat was too funny " The biggest threat to our freedom is not from foreign terrorist , but domestic morons"

Ya' know......
He was flying over the crowd because it would be stupid to do flips and such a couple meters right in front of yourself. It seems the pilot's self preservation gene is working fine. HaHa!

I've maintained for years, that much of the worlds population would not have made it to thier teens, 150 years ago. Killed by stupidity!

This is a real testament to the reliability of modern electronics! He is a pretty good pilot to keep time with the music and it was a nice demo. I liked it. I must admit that it would have been a bit safer to stay on stage LMAO....
The various RF signals reflecting all over the place would make me nervous... But it was a spread spectrum system.
Just how much damage would it really do if it landed? I have been whacked a few times on the pants leg by the blades and it is not painful at all because the rotors swing back. I have also tried to mow grass with the rotor and it only sort of works, as if the grass is tall enough it just stops the blades and you fall harmlessly into the grass (chop the throttle quickly if you value your ESC and motor). For anyone who thinks that they will use the "I'm going to mow the grass, dear.." and flies his heli, better plan on a night on the couch.....
Truly kewl vid...

You are obviously new..

There are many many incidents here of 450s severing appendages as well as flat laying open flesh.

there are several very graphic pictures around here that show what happens when a 450 bites you.

These are NOT toys.. and need to be respected in the same way you respect a power tool.
they can and will maim or hurt you.

this video is absolutely a irresponsible act and should be in the safety forum as a what not to do.

if this had been the USA the guy would prolly loose his AMA..if someone so stupid even bothered to get it.

I did some digging around about that show, the price is 30,000 euros for the winner(at least for the first season) and claims to have 3.400.000 viewers.

PS
30,000 Euros = 43,851 U.S. dollars

I hope the young lad won!

Why? Because I'm fed up with bloody X-factor and Celebrity get me out of here and all that crap that my wife watches when she's not watching the damn soaps!

I liked the vid - there's no chance of seeing anything as risky as that in USA or UK or Australia. I agree with colsy that a 700E would have been more spectacular

Funny how pretty much every body agrees that it was a very stupid thing to do.
I wonder if him being a John Doe has anything to do with it????

When the video of a very well known and respected PRO pilot flying his T 500 in a TV studio, hovering few inches in front of somebody's face to land it on top of this person's head came out, a lot of people were bowing him and the few of us that said it was stupid we got marked as "doom day prophets"
