I just ordered a fiberglass canopy, a pair of CF blades, and a set of those aluminum tubes that go inside the frame. Set me back a whopping $26 from Eks-Helly.

OK Melle, these "Pro" CF's better be as good as you say...

325. I've used 335's in thepast and they make the cyclic just a teensy bit too "spongy" for my tastes.

That said, I have a feeling the mSR has made my CP flying skills "spongy" as well. I'll find out once Canada comes and gets its weather back.

That package need any po$tal a$$i$tance?

I ordered a clutch!!!!

Cause the old one seized on the fan and wouldnt come off.

But WOW!! the raptor 30/50 upgrade kit definitely has a different look about it with longer boom and blades.

stretched e550 as in now a 620 or are you using 600mm blades?
Stretched it with a 50 boom and belt using 620 red Devil mains.

Gregor,
I got mine directly from CC, HD didn't stock the ICE HV when I ordered it.

Now I just need to figure how to convert the E550 from 140 degree swash to 120 degree for the GB700 (sucks it doesn't support 140 deg)

XHeli order came in today. Ordered Thursday morning and arrived Monday afternoon, CA to SC regular mail (parts express). Not bad.

The $8 CF blades were within .1g of each other and the bubble on my balancer was between the brackets, so I didn't add any tape. Blade CG was within .5mm. They are heavier than the Align woodies - Aligns were 20.6g and these are 23.1 and 23.2g.

And the $8 canopy...I was going to strip it to white and paint it my trademark day-glow fluorescent orange, but I'll keep it like this for now. Just gotta figure the best way to drill some mounting holes.

Well, I have been scanning ebay for a while scouting out low starting bid Align Trex 500's. Finnaly found one who made the mistake of ending the bid early in the day on the east coast. Got an Trex 500 CF ESP with cyclic servos, motor, esc for about $400 including shipping. Since I have already some motors I think are par or better than the 500L, I may just sell the 500L on ebay to cheapen the deal. This is my first Align heli after flying the clones and only borrowing Align helis. I almost got me another EXI 500 just as a backup but had been looking for an Align so I could experiance both. What was weird was the seller showed Hong Kong for the location, but the Helicopter shipped UPS from California. All his feedback was good except a guy in Latvia complaining of customs and all the rest of the people said prompt shipping. It comes in next week. Snowbound, all I can do is build and fly the indoor helis.

I got blades, motor, pinon gears, main gear for king 3. And a new charger. Now I need a feathering shaft thanks to the cat. New heli is on the way, along with ds6. I really don't like the cat now.

I got all my stuff today. it seems like on getting it going its 1 step forward and 2 steps back. I started putting the servos on and the screws are to small for the servos. Also on the canopy the rubber peace and the canopy is also cracked. i might have to start saveing for a new one. i dont think it will last to long. but hey its getting closer to flight worthy. I ended up getting my sim set up and i did online flying with Racin. I am glad to have all the parts. i just need to get them all together.

Cool 250 body. Let us know how the build goes.

My Trex 500 came in yesterday. Wierd, seller on ebay says Item location=Hong Kong but it was shipped from California.

No time to start building for next couple weeks though. I'm parting out the Align 500L motor and possibly the ESC. Will sell on Ebay or RR.

I was out and about today anyway so I somehow ended up at the LHS I picked up a set of rappy skids for my Hawk to get a higher stance on it. This keeps my tail a bit farther off the ground

just got word that the 6HVs are going to be shipping SOON,I have a kit with motor, esc and 615mm CF blades reserved from the first US batch.since there are quite a few pre orders already i wanted to make sure I got mine from the FIRST batch.Man I cant wait.I have been talking to some of the test pilots and this heli is just like the ATOM(and 600e),stable but super fast cyclic and nimble with crazy power and really decent flight times for a big(50 size)elec....aaahh yes another AWESOME season is inching closer.its supposed to be in the 50's this weekend and georgeous out for the first time this year.I am flying all day BOTH days

Just got the ICE HV setup on my Knight 600e. I'll be taking it to the field in the morning. I'm really looking forward to getting some time in with that big bird. The big batteries are charging now.
