FYI
President signs FAA bill, protection for model aviation

In a Valentine of sorts for the hobby of model aviation, President Obama signed a new FAA Reauthorization Bill on February 14 that included a provision to protect model aviation under the auspices of a "community-based organization" from federal regulations. "This is a great victory for AMA members," said AMA president Bob Brown, "and we will continue to fight for the entire aeromodeling community should restrictions ever be proposed.

Anyone flying E-Heli's at the field these days ?? I have one I need to get setup and it's been so long since I did this... I can't remember how and need a refresher... plus I'm used to nitro heli's and not sure how to setup the throttle curves or gov mode on electric.. like I said.. just need a refresher. Once I see it or hear it I'm sure it will come back to me.

Thanks,

Darryl

HEY NOW
Success on Tuesday. We usefully have Mondays off. Bill also has Mondays off SO that's our RC day . We fly other days but Monday is the cherry on top ...We are just waiting to get pasted the muddy stage and the ground softens up to start the field maintained(roller)on the runway.
The 51" SLICK from 3DHS is a GREAT name for this plane. This plane is so precise in the air its rediculous. We are still tuning for best flight ,fooling around with props to get the right feel of power for doing 3d stuff and playing with the CG.
We had the 40 size Racers out and were just blasting around to get the feel off the speed these things have. They have got to be the most fun lately ,fooling around with them .The Adrenaline pumping feel of Amateur Pylon racing ( just around the field )trying to pass the other guy and not come up short, some close calls yeeeee haaaaa!!!
WE have plans to go to the field on Sunday hope to you there. We will also fly there Monday, come on out would love to meet everyone .. Take care Fester 8)

Some of us are looking at going dwon to the field on Sunday.
59 and 11 mph winds should be a fairly nice day.

Sunday
I would definitely join you on Sunday but unfortunately I have prior commitments. I would like to go out today, but unfortunately there seems to be a hurricane blowing, so that is out. Guess there is always sitting around to be done. Maybe I'll even do a few steps on my Executive jet...

Have fun Sunday everybody!

I might be up for Sunday, I have a new hexacopter I want to run in the wild. The yard just isn't big enough to get a good workout without the FPV equipment installed I think the indoor thing at UCCC is also this Sunday as well.

Nice build!
I'd like to see the new multicopter. This has some redundancy so you nav system and FPC equipment might be a little safer

Thanks Pellicle, I got a chance to get some flights in on it in Saugerties today, towards the evening the wind died down and it was pretty awesome. I'm very happy with how it's flying now. It's flyable in the wind but has some serious lean to it in 15-20 Mph winds
