hmm I was not aware there war that many heli people in the area. i'm joining a club in rockland great group of people so far. Considering the size of my birds I won't be doing much park flying. you should check the club if you have not already. i tried a few of the local clubs but either no shows or no helis allowed.. here is a link to the club

ESCs on short notice?
Hey guys, does anyone know where I could grab a ~85 amp brushless ESC with 8s support on short notice and maybe on a Sunday? Not looking to go up to Lee Mass as I was already drove up there today.

I'm converting my Twist 60 from the Saito 1.15 to an ~1800 watt electric. I just can't get back into nitro thing after flying electric. The only thing holding me up at this point is the ESC. I thought I had one that would work for it, but it's only 6s max.

Thanks Therms, all set now and had a great day! Just finished reconnectorizing(?) the equipment and programming the ESC and BEC and am going to stuff them in the Twist. I should have it up and humming shortly. Now I just need a metric prop reamer!

That flybarless was a joy to fly! Thanks! The biggest thing I noticed about the 500 is I could actually see it

Well Done!
Nice job, Jon and Ollie. Now you are ready for the Meroke fun fly in a couple of weeks!

Things of least use to a pilot:
fuel on the ground
runway behind you
altitude above you

Had a great hour at the field before we got rained out, it was worth it though (better to click and watch the vid in HD on the YouTube site, it's a very small plane)

Also did a loop up INTO and through the clouds.

Watch at YouTube

I ran a couple of downwind runs through a Doppler program and got around 104-106mph.. Winds were around 5mph. The landing, as usual, was a little rough

Hi guys, the field is mowed so if the weekend is good, get some flying in! I did the part closer to the road at level 6 so it's nice and soft for aircraft starting and standing on while piloting, then cut the rest at 4, so there's a good sized piece of shorter-grass for runway. There's still fuel in the mower and some in the can. You can see the sections best from the aerial view. (might want to turn your volume down a bit)
