Hey Al,
On your r90, Do you have a 60mc or 60k carb with omi mods on it? I've got the evo 90 flying nice, but would like more power from the cspec.

the other two clubs i was telling you about are nowhere near this field, they are both a few towns away. there was never a frequency restriction that i know of. i believe this is an AMA saction field from what i remember. I am going to e-mail the president of our ringwood club and ask a few questions since you guys might be interested. since the farmer told me not to many people ever come up there anymore i thought if you guys like the place maybe our club should approch the farmer as to also making this a second field for us to use when you guys want.

no is there a field up in the park? I drive right past the entrance to the waywayanda park? this place is off orange cty 1 on the west side of warwick. i have never seen anyone fly here. this is the 2nd field my NJ club uses, but know body from the club ever goes there.

there is another club in pine island in the black dirt region out on one of the sod farms but that is the only other one i know about. that club is another 9 miles west.

For some reason I end up flying more in the cold. This way I can blame it on frozen thumbs instead of dumb ones.

mike i just got the e-mail back that field is far enough away from any other clubs in that area, they did submit the location of the field to the ama and my club has an insurance certificate to fly there.

i was at this new field this afternoon before lunch time before the clouds and wind came back. It was perfect blue sky and no wind. this is such an open area i did a full 20 min battery pack flight on the zagi wing. i can now fly inverted, as long as it is straight in towards me or going away from me, i could roll out of the inverted flight and do nice clean rolls. i also did a flight with the micro wing. one thing i need some input on from al and mike. on high rates with the wing, and this high rate has a lot of airlon throw, if i hit the full up elevator or try to do a loop at this rate the plane goes up half way into the loop then looses it and starts to spin and spiral out of control. i noticed this same thing happens on the simulator flying the extra 300 on high rate. what is happening? it is almost like it adds left or right turn?

my first guess would be too much throw in the control surfaces....

Set your elevator throw so that at full UP the wing does not snap it will just do a clean loop.

ok thanks guys, we are all set any time you want to try this field, we had a club meeting last night and i told them i was going to bring you guys up as guest to fly some big planes. our club has an additional insurace certifacte from the AMA over there and i asked why people are not using it and it seems a lot of these guys are from bergen county area and the ringwood field is just closer, there is just 3 of us that live up near the state line and close to this field. the other club is all the way down in wayne NJ. and then there is the club in goshen ny. the goshen guy used to be seen up here alot years ago but they have not been seen up there for a long time.

edge 540T
ok i think i have found the plane i am going to go with, the hobby shop i get the fuel from has a pacific aeromodel edge 540T 60-100 size w/65" wing, i want to put a saito 4 stroke 125 or the 100 not sure if the 125 will be too much for the plane, she is telling me to go with the 125. any comments or suggestions. i have been doing some reading in rc univ and it seems to be a very good flier. i think i will get used to this plane then maybe sell it or just move up to the 27% extra 260 after next year.
i think my raptor is feeling neglected.

Great plane, 100 is more than enough. but if the price is right go with the 125. Either way it will be over powered.

ok new plane is here. there was a problem with production for a while so i picked this last one my hobby shop had. i will be putting it together this winter. I am going to try and get as much practice with the zagi wing and forward flight with the raptor as i can until it just gets too cold. i guess i could land the zagi in the snow.
