A frequency board, with peoples names clipped to the channels they are using, would help me-assuming folks use it properly-as I often find myself wanting to turn on for a radio check or a run up and not being able to remember what channel whoever is then flying is on, even if I asked him 5 minutes ago! I know, my brain is fried, but the point is, if there was a board and Jon was flying, and I walked over to the board and saw Jon's pin on his channel, it would save me from having to bother him while he's flying or wait for him to finish. Also, if there were 2 or more people with pins on the same freq, then those people would very definitely know who they HAD to coordinate carefully with.

I like Steve's idea.

Well as of lately (this year) there have been about 5 active flyers on any weekend except for the fun fly! We don't need a board for that. Also we need to be careful about turning ED's farm into a BILLBOARD he won't like it. He didn't even like the garbage can there! He has told me he wants the farm to look like a farm not a airport. Besides it has nothing to do with the SOURS problem and that is what this thread is all about.

I'll be there as well, helping Bobby B. with his Kyosho SRX (Flapping rotor head design, should be interesting!)

Does anyone know how to set up a GV1? I've got the gasser all together, but the GV1 is being uncooperative. I've set up a pitch curve anyway just in case. I should make it out around noon.

Well, I spent the day in the shop going over the gasser some more. I finally got the GV1 connected and on a switch so it wont come on until the gasser is test flown and the pitch curve worked out. I also ran it up today and noticed a really fierce vibration as it was spooling up and also found that the gyro was reversed.
I found that the metal blade holders that I mounted onthe Pro head were actually for the T&T head. I had about 1/16" of end play on the axle. So I removed the pro head and mounted the T&T head instead. It's all snug now so hopefully that was the cause of the vibration.
Otherwise, I think the gasser is ready to go, hopefully we'll have decent weather by next weekend.

Hello
Hey fellas. How about that? 8 Days of rain?!?

I am safely in Florida. The drive was uneventful and boring, but after doing the drive 10 or more times it becomes rudimentary. I will still chime in every once in a while as a friend if you don't mind. I consider all of you friends eventhough I can't be there physicaly.

I planted my Super Cub in front of the elders at the Rondout field the following Sunday. 20 minutes later I had a tailboom strike on my Raptor 30. I saved the wings from the Cub, and my R30 is with my son. He likes taking things apart and rebuilding them. So I had only to bring my Biplane to Florida. No more chopper for me. I am definately into the Biplane thing now, they are very comfy to fly.

Keep it real folks, if you have any photos from the picnic, please email them to me?

Eddie, great to hear from you. Please stay in touch. I'm really sorry to hear about your Cub! I actually bought another eBay flyer-this one is a Pica Cessna 182, all built with a thunder tiger 46, but no radio. It's set up for flaps and the pics look nice. This will be my 1st flap model when I get it ready to go. BTW, I recently received my Polk's Hobby Tracker 3 radio, and am setting it up little by little. I got my big cub and my Seamaster programed in, tho the trim settings will have to wait for flight. Anybody know anything about Pica models?

Steve, glad to hear you got my fuel. Lets try to hook up, but if I am not around, you can hand it off to Jack or AL.
