Metal insulator, and torque wrench
Do not run without one...Use thick gaskets .. no more issues..

If you are serious about making even torque on bolts, you need a torque wrench..
Ron's Heliproz South sells the best torque wrench for less than 100 bucks...I just can't tell you enough how much using the right tools to do a job makes everything work so much better...I use it for muffler carb, engine building...makes all the difference in the world to me...

And replacing the bell mixer on the blade grips with this ball joint.

These with the longer shank allows the firmware in the electronics to use better resolution.

I'm new to gassers so excuse the ignorance but why does this motor need two gallons of fuel through it before its broken in, that has to be the equivalent of many many hours of flying, right? Isn't this a ringed motor, not much different than my weed wacker?

Also, any mods needed to fit the TREX600 head on this heli? And what else needs upgrading?

Radikal Help
Finally got the parts the 90T/13T gears, bought a new one way because for some reason, my dealer here never got the replacement.
Aligned everything carefully as suggested and the engine was purring like a kitten with just a little vibration on the tail fin and rear skid.
Then the button head on the seesaw broke off again! Replaced it with a real high quality screw, double checked everything.
Hovered it again for a couple of tanks full to make sure everything is okay and finally flew it this afternoon and the one way ceased again in mid flight!
Can anyone tell me what size the top and bottom bearings are because I am going to buy my bearings from somewhere else! Please recommend one that works! Anyone knows what other brands fit?
By the way, after replacing the main gear, the belt is almost touching the main gear. Is that normal?
Everytime I fly it my friends take cover!
I have already spend a lot on parts and time and still can't get it flying without something breaking or ceasing!!!
P.S.Just some input on regulators. I have been using Duralite regulators in all my giant scale gasser planes and helis with 2 cell Lipos for years and they are the best. Just make sure you get the one with the HD Switch.

Auto bearing
Let me say this again because some are not taking the time to read the whole FYI..

Take the sleeve out of the auto hub, place it back in slightly to retract the bearings in the torrington, then spray with carb and choke cleaner, and leave dry.. I was surprised at the junk in the bearing from the factory....Make sure you mesh the gears correctly..

Also, make sure the sleeve doesn't rock back and forth on the mast..If it does, then put ca inside the sleeve, let dry, and with a twisting motion let the mast cut a new path to eliminate the slack.Do a little bit at a time. This is the same thing some had to do on the Trex machines.. This movement can up set the operation of the bearing...
