Not unless you bring two! I have a bottle of Vodka and $50 to see who can drink the most and make it across the field first

ROAD CLOSED WARNING

OK this is information for those that are bringing RVs and Travel Trailers to the event. For those that have been here before and came to the field from Exit 1 on I-459 to the field. The normal way the road has been closed.

Here is what you need to do to come to the field from exit 1 on I 459.
Take the exit at Exit 1. Turn towards the shopping center. This would be turning North on Eastern Valley Road. Go about 1/4 and turn right on Promenade Parkway. This will take you in front of the shopping center. Stay on Promenade Pkwy, it will run into Pocahontas Road. Turn right onto Poncahontas. This will cross I 459. Poncahontas will intersect with Dickey Springs Road once across I -459. Turn left on Dickey Springs Road and this will take you to the field. Just a slight detour than the normal way to the field from Exit 1.

If you are coming in from Exit 6 with an RV or Travel Trailer. There is a bridge you have to cross at the field that has a 6 ton weight limit on it.

You can see the area I am talking about on the map below. Look at exit 1 and exit 6 on I 459. The road that is closed off Exit 1 is Ben Hill Road, where it Y's into Dickey Springs Road.

If you know anyone that is bring an RV. Please pass this information to them.

The first person has arrived for the event. Greg Alderman is at the field and will be there till next Monday.

Bill,

How wet is the field? Isn't Greg pulling a fifth wheel?

It's not bad considering how much rain we had last week.

I'm not sure what Greg has, I haven't been down there since he showed up, but he didn't have any problems.

We fixed the gate area last year (gravel) so it doesn't get muddy anymore.

When you coming down?

Yea man, the field is in great shape! Roger put a big load of gravel down in the common areas.

I'll be out there tomorrow after lunch to burn a couple tanks and then all day Thursday - Sunday.

See you there

There's 5-6 motor homes out there, a few people flying, but mostly socializing.

We expect a lot of people to show up tomorrow afternoon.

night flying?
Anyone good at the spotlight? My fear is the spot will go of my heli. I'll fly close enough so distance is not a problem. You going to be red neck night flying with me Tony? Whiteside?
