I am debating coming and wanted to know what the average pilot turnout is each year? Trying to decide between this and Huntsville.
Here is the registered pilot count for the last few years:

2005 - 153 registered pilots
2006 - 158 registered pilots
2007 - 148 registered pilots
2008 - 175 registered pilots
2009 - 160 registered pilots (Vegas was the same weekend)

This has been the largest local fun fly each year for the last several years. The 2009 Orlando Heli Blowout had over 200 registered pilots last December. That was the first local event that has had more registered pilots than Birmingham.

Personally, I think we're going to hit 225 or better this year. BRING IT!!!

Joey isn't allowed to have a flybarless machine he flies to fast now, lol, I'd be afraid he would break the sound barrier if he flew a flybarless 700

Most stay at the Sleep Inn since it's the closest ... And there is a big parking lot near by that gets a lot of night flying small electric action ...
