Swap Meet We were able to squeeze in a couple more vendor tables. Now there are 62 vendor tables. As of 2:30pm today there are only 7 tables not reserved. This looks like the makings of a good show. Hope to see you there.

Thank you everyone! I would like to express thanks to all the vendors, buyers, and swap meet staff that helped make today’s swap meet a success. I don’t have the number of buyers that entered, but it was a better turn out than I would have imagined. I believe we had forty vendors there. There were a couple of no-shows, but after 9:00 we determined they were not going to show up and let some walk-in’s use those tables. We had nice raffle prizes donated from High Speed Hobbies, K/C Hobbies, Anderson R/C, and King R/C. There was CA, Kicker, Epoxy, and Servo’s for door prizes. The food sells were good. All burgers were sold and only 2 packs of hotdogs were left at the end of the swap meet. That was some pretty good planning by the “kitchen committee.” They did have to make two drink runs. Guess guys were thirsty today! For a first swap meet with the two clubs working together, a first for most of us running something this large, I call it a success.Of course we learned there are area’s for improvement.
We had to turn quite a few vendors away that waited until the last minute to reserve a table, or who wanted to walk-in and get a table. All tables were reserved nearly two weeks ago. I think we could have easily sold eighty tables, maybe more, but sixty-seven was all we could pack in the room and still give everyone enough working room.Overall this was a great day, and I again thank each of you for making this swap meet a success.Cabarrus R/C Flyers V.P.
