Any regular fliers in Folsom or anywhere else close? Getting back into flying after 5 or so years. In the process of building a T-rex 450 sport.

Scott

When I use to fly I would go to Mather and fly, it was a good bunch of people out there. I'll have to go back out and see what it is like now.

I'll see you guys at Mather. I would join you at ecko park but I work full time during the week. But if I ever have to go to the City of Folsom building department I will try and arrange it so I go there during lunch time.

I am hoping to have my T-rex 450 sport built by this weekend, I would like to bring it out and have some people look over it before I fly it. Just to make sure everything looks and feels right.

So long and thanks for all the fish!

Sounds good Scott. Probably see you at Mather some time. I'm there every other Sunday usually.

So do you still have the Knight 3D? I was looking at your Profile. Getting a used Knight 600E delivered today. I hear great things about these Knights.

I am trading a nitro truck for the Knight Pro, I hope to have it in a week or two. I miss the smell and sound of nitro. I use to have a Raptor 30 I got used and loved that, then I built a Raptor 90 but never flew it. I got out of flying and sold everything and now I have decided to get back into flying. My flying skills are very beginner, when I had my Raptor 30 I was only doing hovering and some forward flight. So I will be starting all over again, for the most.

So long and thanks for all the fish!

Hi Scott, looks like our lunch time flying is expanding by another member. We got his heli tuned this weekend at Mather. Let us know when you're up and running, maybe we'll form our own club at rodeo park. By the way i keep calling it ecko park for some strange reason that stuck in my head. The real name is rodeo park.

I think we are going to have to bring out some tables next time.

I'm out numbered now with two trex 700's flying around over a soccer field. Gets a little smokey.

Where are all the electric flyiers in Folsom?

If any of you guys are going to be at Mather field tomorrow I will be having my maiden flight for my Trex 450 sport. This will be my first flight in over 5 years, so it should be interesting for about 15 or so seconds, hopefully longer. I should get there around 9:30 or 10.

So long and thanks for all the fish!

Got to the field about 10 and was all alone except for a couple plane guys. Which was good since I had no one watching me so no pressure. I made it through the first battery no problem. The only issue I had was some serious left drifting but I made it without crashing. Confidence was up so I put in the second battery and tried my best again. It started ok but then I got a little high and kind of paniced. I slammed the tail into the ground and did some minor damage. Came home and fixed what I could, I was hoping to come back out tomorrow but I need one last part a tail rotor shaft. Until I get one of those I am grounded but I can not wait to get back out there.

So long and thanks for all the fish!

Fog was nothing, it was high in the air not low to the ground. No wind what so ever. I think RC opens at 11 tomorrow so I migt see you out there around noon.

Weekdays are tough for me, work has finally picked up and I am no longer sitting around the office trying to stay busy, I am busy. Which is what I prefer, I hate having to find work, now I get to pass work off to my assistant while I get other work finished. I might try and get to Mather on Thursday if the fish aren't biting.

Everyone have a nice Christmas and a rockin New Year.

So long and thanks for all the fish!

Got in some flying time today. Not bad for my second time out, I went through three batteries with no crashes. Mostly just hopping around, but none the less no crashes. Weather was cold with a slight breeze. Only other people flying were the airplane guys.
