I am a novice in this hobby. I bought X9303 radio last Thursday.
I have a question and that is "if the polarity is reverse when I charge the battery through the charge adapter in the transmitter, what is the symptom of the transmitter?"

First, I know the fuse inside the transmitter is melt so I replaced it, but my problem is whenever I changed some value, it comes back to factory setting value (for example, trim stem of rudd: 4 -> 1, but when I turn on the transmitter again, it returns to 4 again).

Do I need to send it to HorizonHobby?
If I need, does it cover under the warranty?

Last question, I lives in Ellicott city, Maryland.
Does anyone live around here so that I can ask some questions?
In advance, thank you for your help and time.

Does your set revert back to a different model memory (but the same one) after you have chosen another model memory and then turned it off ?

ie... You choose model memory 5, turn off and back on but it has gone to model memory 1 (for example), you select model memory 9, turn off, trun on but it's back to Model Memory 1.

??

First, thank you for your attention.

Yes, it always goes back to Model 1 whenever I turn on the transmitter.

What were you using to charge the transmitter? JR and Spektrum transmitters have the center contact as negative. If you are having programming problems after melting a fuse I would box it up and send it to Horizon for repair. Be honest. They are very forgiving and helpful. Fill out the RMA form and ship it carefully packed and insured.

Mine did the same thing after a reverse charge error. It needs to go back to the shop for repair. Horizon did mine for free.

Thank you for your explanation and time.
Yesterday, I talked to a guy at Horizonhobby and he told me I need to send it to the service center.

I am pretty sure everything will be fine.

It's just a transistor that has blown. 5 minute repair job.

Can I repair it by myself instead of sending it to the service center?
If I can, which transistor should I replace?
I have everything to fly my trex450, but my transmitter is not working now.

Unfortunately the transistor can only be sourced from JR via Horizon.

Horizon do not sell service spares, plus there is a possibility that the system would need to be reset.

So at the end of the day, it still has to go back to Horizon.
