Are there any other options for screws on the Trex 250?

The stock screws with the 1.3mm hex head are good for one installation with Loctite, but they will inevitably strip out when removed. I ordered a box of RCScrews for the Trex 250, and they didn't fit. I sent the owner of RCScrews the box back with some original Align screws so that hopefully he could make a new set of RCScrews to match the thread pitch of the Align nuts, but I have not heard back from him.

Does anyone else sell screws to fit the Trex 250?

Dunno, I am still using the original .9 Align tool on mine with no issues..Have not stripped out any yet and can still stick the tool into the head of a screw and pick the heli up by it...

I have heard lots of people having issues though with even the 1.3 stuff...

If in doubt lean it out . We don't do this to save money, we save money to do this

The HK250GT and other clones use torx screws, you can order a set from Hobby King for $1.16 but you'll need the correct size driver. I have built and rebuilt mine a couple of times and have not stripped or broken a screw yet.

Hey, that's a real good idea. Let me order some of those screws from HobbyCity. But where would I get a small Torx driver? Maybe Wiha makes one?

Well I hate to say this but I have both a T250 and a HK250GT and the GT flies better than the T even though I think a lot of it is the motor. The GT has a couple quality issues (poor quality plastic blades, weak feathering shaft, sloppy tail slider) but it has more aluminum than the T and is a fantstic deal. I would say get a HK250GT kit when you get the screws and if nothing else use it for spare parts for your T. It comes with a torx driver, .9mm allen driver and a small phillips head driver.
