Ok heres some pics straight out of the camera. I had to utilize about 6 spotters today due to the amount of children and people in the area. I had a nice big field and didnt fly over anyone, I was just worried about curious kids running to look. My 12yr old brother ran the camera lol... What do you think??

Fantastic shots - well done!!!

Glad to see you are taking the safety seriously too. It's so easy to forget that in the heat of the moment.

Looking forwars to seeing more of your work...

Thanks Karbon, yeah thats the last thing I want is to smack some kid with a 500mm carbon blade. I knew the guys were watching but I kept saying when I came down "any kids under me?? any kids under me??". My downfall on this whole thing is the photo editing. I dont have a good program to do it, and even if I did Im not really sure how to make the picture "right". If anyone would like to fix these pics up for me just let me know and I can send you the full resolution pic. Im not doing any of this for money, its just a hobby right now.

The industry standard for image editing is Photoshop or Aperature but you can get fairly good free open source editor called GIMP.

He works for candy bars and soda lol. He actually does better than I thought. I had a camera on a slow stick before and had one of my buddies operate the camera. The downlink failed so he just didnt take anything the whole flight. My little brother worked it and he said it would cut out now and then but he would still just take pictures every few seconds. You never know, that random picture might be the best one.

Hey PS1, will the gimp program level the horizon?? I see it says "Fix perspective distortion" would that include leveling the horizon?? That seems to be the thing I will most often need to fix on my pictures.

I found a free editor called photoscape that was easier to download.... am I anywhere close here?? I know the second one is not right, I was just messing with it and thought it looked cool.

For my eyes clearly oversharpened and over-saturated. although to bright.

go get gimp, it can do most Photoshop can do and it costs you 1000 bucks less.
Take a few weeks to work yourself into it, google for gimp tutorials and practice.
You will need photosoftware for commercial photos...

if you were going for the HDR look you got it, but otherwise I feel you over did the shadow/highlight.

What is the HDR look??? Im not sure exactly what Im going for here... just playing around trying to get it acceptable. I got gimp but it doesnt seem as easy to use as the photoscape. If its that much better though I guess I just need to learn. Thanks for the comments guys.

High Dynamic Range ... gotcha.

So does this look better? All I did here was level the photo and then hit "auto level" and "auto contrast"
