hi all,looking for a little guidance here.I am running a 6.0V 2300 mah
reciever pack in my rappy 50 and can't seem to get more than a tank out before it gets in the red on the voltwatch.I am running 8717's on the cyclics,3151 futaba on the throttle, going thru a spectrum regulator to the gyro-servo.I was running the same set-up on 4.8V minus regulator of course and was getting a solid 3-4 flights before it needed charging.do those 8717's on 6v pulling that many mah??
what mah pack is everyone running on a 6V set-up?

First off, I'd chuck the voltwatch and check the battery with a loaded volt meter with a 1amp load.

You should be getting way more than 1 flight with that battery.

If thats indeed the case then you need to look for a binding control linkage or a stalled servo or something.

just got a checker in on UPS today,I'll go see how much it's pulling and how much mah it takes to put back.I've been having this problem since I stepped up to 6V.
what seems to be the normal mah pack for the 6V setup?
when I first started to change over the LHS sold me an 800 mah li-po
and that didn't even last a half tank,so I went back and got the 2300 because that was the same as the 4.8 and I was getting more flights on it.
the binding issue BH brought up makes sense, but when it was on 4.8 there never was a problem.
thanks for the input guys, any info is always appreciated.

Hi

I use a 2100mAh bat on my 6,8v SG reactor x setup. I have 3 x 8717.

I get 4 flights with only using 60% of the bat...
