ok guys, i have a futaba 9CHP with the synthesizer module.
i was using the transmitter while using reflex XTR and noticed the module getting pretty warm i have never noticed it while at the field. i think i was playing for about 45 minutes before i noticed the heat.
does anyone else have this system? or does anyone know if it is supposed to heat up a little and maybe it was the duration that i had it on for? i would really like to know since now i am kind of reluctant to use it on my helis... can anyone shed some light on this?

thanks!

If you run an FM radio with the antenna down for long periods you're going to eventually burn up the final stage of the RF deck.

Just remove the module while you're simming.

well it looks like im fine, went to the field today and did a range test, walked about 250ft and ann was good! although id did go out and get the spectrum 2.4 Ghz conversion though, if i had that, my last scale bird would not have crashed (ran the antenna of one of my receivers to close to the muffler...) so thanks for the insight..oh and i now fly on the sim without the module in..
